The staff was really nice. We got free milk and it was only ¥100 for extra bottles if milk, which are a MUST when taking an onsen. We had a private onsen in our room, but there were also public onsen in the hotel! Everything was super clean and the hotel is located close to the bus-terminal.
Our Host was fantastic and had the siga system set up on the tv and bath was ready for wary traveler.
We wish we had booked at least two nights and definately would like to visit for again and for a few nights
Having the choice of three private onsen and one in our room was a bonus
This place was a vibe! Gaming consoles in the rooms and common areas, board games, retro toys, puzzles, massage chairs. Overall super cool place. Onsen was awesome. Food was great. Front desk staff was super friendly and spoke English. Parking was right at the place. Highly recommend.
Lovely traditional property in a good location in Kusatsu. A great experience with the onsen facility included. The owner could not have been more helpful and friendly, we loved it there. It was nice and peaceful as just outside the centre, but an easy walk in.
We really like this place. The property and room is like the combo of traditional Japanese and new modern layout. We definitely love the share private onsen. Although is 10mins walk from the town, but it's not a long walk. Furthermore it's out of the busy and noisy central district which is what you need when you have a relaxing holiday in onsen Town.
Very accommodating, excellent service and excellent room. Our room had our own tiny hot spring bath so it was really cool. Also the owner is super friendly, we left our luggage there before check in and they helped us carry it up into our room. It's about 8 min walk to Yubatake (aka the center Kusatsu tourist area).
Facility wise, they have free coffee and water, the owner even gave us milk as present 😊 they also have a super cool game room where they have japanese (childhood?) games.
Had a great weekend stay! My room was extremely clean and well kept. All the staff members were exceedingly kind and went out of their way to be helpful. And the breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommend a stay here!
We could not have loved Eidaya more. The staff was incredibly friendly and very good at English, the hotel was full of fun things to do (including vintage video games!!), parking was right by the door, it was the perfect distance to walk all of Kusatsu, and the private onsens were a joy at night! An absolutely perfect weekend trip for our group of 7.
The rooms and hotel are very clean. Breakfast is also fantastic. We love traditional food. The owner is the most fantastic. We are almost missed the train. And the officer at the bus station didn’t help must. He is our hero that give right and good information that we can get the train and seats. We will be back. City and onsen are also fantastic. 👍😍
nice staff. sharing toilet on every floor. public bathing area at the onsen downstairs. no lift for rooms on 2nd floor and have to make the beds by yourself if u choose the tatami style rooms. (kinda hostel like)
All I can say is I should stay more than 1 day! Great onsen with sulphuric minerals. Good location, 2 ways 10 minutes walk from centre but hey! Who is rushing? Near 7-11 and another convenience shop and cake shop and bus station.
Very warm hospitality showed by the owner, who went all the way out to help us suggest and reserve food places. Knows the local area very well and speaks very good English. Excellent lodging choice for staying at Kusatsu Onsen.
