The room was clean but smelt very musty. In addition we could not control the air conditioning and although it would go on and off, the room was too hot overall. There were no warnings about jelly fish larvae in the ocean that sting you by the resort beach if you swim. The resort shows that there are two beaches but access to one was blocked which we were not informed about Finally I had ordered a lobster on the menu for a fixed price. After my partner had finished his meal (I had not been served yet) I was asked if I’d pay more for my lobster as their lobster were all bigger than anticipated. I refused and had to wait another 1/2hr for my lobster If it were not for this incident, I’d give staff a 5/5. Overall the pools were lovely, the yoga was good as was the Thai massage by the beach. Lots of young families with preschool children and young couples

This is absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in or even heard about. It is gorgeously situated on Koh Sao Island on an extended hillside over the ocean, which encompasses 7 hotel buildings over about 1/2 mile, Everything is gorgeously appointed with teak carving throughout. Private balcony with soaking tub. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. Retaurants are wonderful with eacj table open to the ocean, 2 wonderful pools (infinity and waterfall), plus paddle booarding, kayaking, snorkling, visiting monkey islands, elephants -- pretty much anything you want. We are definitely going back for our anniversary.

Property was nice with beautiful views. Staff was very friendly. Excellent buffet. Provided different restaurant options for dinning. Hotel is on steep hill but they provided transportation to get around properties. Easy check in and check out.

Beautiful property and very nice staff! Very peaceful stay and gorgeous views. The room was comfortable and it was nice to be in a place away from all the crowds on other popular islands.

Came back to Santhiya after 6 years since we liked the property so much on our last visit. The views are still spectacular, the rooms and facilities luxurious. A few things have seem to gone downhill though and I hope the management addresses them: - Food was below average taste wise, especially when ordered for in-room dining - in-room dining came in takeaway utensils (plastic), if you wanted cutlery, you needed to pay extra - this is a cheap move (and certainly not eco friendly!). For a luxury resort to make guests eat out of plastic boxes in their rooms is just bizarre - all restaurant orders now need to be placed on a web app which is super buggy and frustrating. Also, a lot of the servers seemed very new and lost. They really need to fix the food situation at the resort, else we would be forced to look for other options on our next trip
