“What a beautiful spot! We were in the riverside cabin, absolutely stunning! Beautiful 360° views from the campsite and just a quick stroll to get to the beach. Kayaks and paddle boards also nearby to rent for the river. Punakaiki is just a special place, sunshine or rain.”

“My review is not actually for the glamping tent. The owner sent an email several days in advance of my stay letting me know the tents had blown away during a storm. I instead stayed in a Zen Cabin (for no extra charge) and it was wonderful! One of my favorite stays in NZ. Parking is right outside the cabin, easy check-in and entry, beautifully decorated, private kitchenette, private bathroom, comfortable bed facing the ocean in front of a huge picture window.”

“The cabin was not stand alone. The map suggests that it may be divided into two however there were at least 4 single rooms attached to ours which were not sound proofed, so could hear everything from the other rooms. The bbq was rusty and no foil provided so was not able to be used. The room was not clean with cobwebs everywhere which were old so had not been dusted. The table inside was hanging off the wall so was scared to put anything on it and you couldn’t sit outside because of the...

“Trevor and Deanne were wonderful hosts. The assisted us with transportation for our wine tasting trip and made some wonderful recommendations for dining. “We arrived and promptly welcomed by Arianne with a cup of tea and carrot cake - lovely touch. At the end of our day's walk, the hot tub was very much appreciated. Facilities are great.
