This was my first time to Bilbao and Sercotel Ayala is a place I would return to in a heartbeat. Conveniently located, there's plenty to see within a 15 minute walk, and a multi-level shopping center just across the street is ideal to grab whatever you might need. The room was good sized, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Andrea (at the front desk) deserves special recognition for her outstanding efforts, helping with directions and giving very specific/helpful recommendations about the city and all it has to offer. There's plenty to see and do in Bilbao, and this hotel serves as a perfect "base camp" from which to explore!

Meh. A fine hotel - clean but with such little character. I don’t understand how this is a 4* hotel. Rooms were basic, small and had no character. But it is in a good location, clean and convenient.

We waren erg tevreden met ons verblijf. Het ontbijt was uitstekend. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk, wat voor ons erg belangrijk was omdat dit in de rest van de stad absoluut niet het geval was. Enige kleine minpuntje, was dat onze televisie niet naar behoren werkte. Er was een chromecastfunctionaliteit, maar die werkte niet met onze toestellen.

We arrived early by bus and the receptionist was able to get us into a room early. Room was small but adequate. The available room was a handicapped room and I can see how it would be adequate for a wheelchair user. Quiet stay

Very nice hotel in center of the city. Walking distance to shopping, dining, train station, metro, buses stops. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet had a satisfactory selection. Room was on a smaller size but well furnished and bed was very comfortable. Stayed in the hotel already twice and will stay again next time I visit the city.

This is a very nice hotel situated close to everything interesting in Bilbao. My room was small, but it was good enough for my needs and it was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Very well located hotel right next to a major transport hub, but located on a quiet side street. Very friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast. The only minor criticism is that there were some large silver industrial pipes/chimneys outside my window that were noisy enough to mean you had to keep the window shut, but this would only be an issue in a minority of the rooms. Overall, good hotel and decent value for money.
