Great location...other than that not great. Parking first come first served so we missed out on that, foyer floor dirty and ceiling obviously being repaired. One receptionist so in a queue to check in, failed to tell us and other guests to swipe room card to get lift to work. Room view great over racecourse, door handle to bathroom broken. Bed 2 singles zipped together , very uncomfortable and the pillows too soft. Shower didnt have good pressure. Returned to bar on 5th floor after night out, literally 3 other people in there, staff had no idea about some of the beer choices..zero atmosphere. Breakfast basic, one waitress speaking to everyone like children..whilst regularly serving the wrong table/ food. Full english greasy and not hot- we couldnt wait to leave! Love Chester but definitely wont be staying at Abode

Hotel staff excellent and can’t do enough for you. Only negative. The rooms are tired had a loose floorboard in our room which pinched your foot mirror cracked. I would say the room needs a refurbishment. One frustrating thing was they didn’t tell us to keep our room key so when we went to go to get our car laid in with bags, we couldn’t use the lift had to walk down four flights of stairs. There was also items missing from the room and regarding the side of the room there should be a fridge.

Rooms very spacious. Very nice array of teas and coffees. Was a bit dark in the room, and hard to work out how to get any lights on - have to go round and individually turn lamps on and there was no hall light near the door so hard to see how to control the heating - not a major issue but a bit odd for a nice hotel. Also could do with USB ports for charging. Parking is very limited, this should be made clearer on the advert - they emailed about it after but you can't cancel then. It's also extortionately priced, though at least secure. I'd advise parking across in the little roodee car park as it's cheaper and really close.

Nice spacious room Good location Nice afternoon tea Disappointed in breakfast very salty and not very fresh .very dry to eat. Wanted an item off the menu and not available at 8 o’clock on a Sunday. Waiting on staff not great no offers of coffee top up.

Lovely hotel and staff very attentive. Full English breakfast was not of a very good quality. Consisted of 1 sausage, 1 slice of back, which was dry and looked under cooked, 1 piece of black pudding, 1 hash brown, and egg of your choice. Choice of breakfast items - excellent, let down on quality of full English unfortunately
