Needs modernising especially bathroom.
Breakfasts excellent choices if full breakfast taken.
Expensive if you just want continental type. All a matter of choice of course.
The hotel is very central and very close to the shops. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Being able to reserve a disabled parking space means that we don’t have to worry about being able to park. On our arrival, receptionist Gemma helped my friend with moving our luggage from the front entrance to reception. This really helped my friend as I have mobility difficulties and am not able to help. I would also like to mention, Rachel, Gracie, Carly, Nicky and Patrick for all their help and kindness. The staff are an asset to the hotel, and the reason that we will be booking to stay again.

I have stayed at this property in a few occasions now and never had a problem until this last time. I slipped and fell in your lobby during this last stay. I was coming in the front entrance and slipped in the damp carpet and floor in the main entrance in the loby. I lost my footing and fell on my left side. I also hit the left side of my head on the wall in the lobby. I went up to my room shaken and called the front desk. No one ever came to my room or checked on me afterwards. The next day I informed the person in the lobby what had happened. She said oh you called. Then asked if I was ok. That was it. I wish the staff had taken things a bit more seriously. No one ever checked on me after it was initially reported. After the incident I did experience bruising to my head, left knee and arm. Thankfully there was only bruising and pain. I just wanted to let someone be aware. Other than that I enjoyed my stay as I always do. Thanks.
I needed a quick and comfortable stay in central Plymouth as I'd come to pick my daughter up who was a student to take home for the festive break.
I've stayed here before and it hit all the stars: comfortable, clean and useful free secure parking on site in its basement.
This time it was all the above bar the parking scenario - which had changed considerably since my last stay a few months previous.
Parking was no longer free (or secure it turned out) and I was informed there would be a £9 additional charge as a guest to park at the hotel. While not ideal I was prepared to pay this as it was still in their secure basement car park.
Frustratingly though after initially parking ok on site I nipped out briefly in my car only to get back and find there was no longer any spaces free on site in the basement.
I approached reception and was told that I had to take my car off site instead now to an open and much less secure city centre multi storey car park and pay a sizeable £15 instead to park overnight now.
There were two or three other frustrated guests at reception having exactly the same conversation when I was there too -so I wasn't alone in my experiences of the parking situation at this hotel.
In short: a satisfactory room overnight spoiled by an inadequate, costly and insecure parking arrangement at this hotel.
Very comfortable stay again at this property.
All the staff were excellent they were all friendly professional and courteous.
Lovely bar very relaxing and comfortable.
Bedroom was clean well maintained and with good amenities.
