There wasn't any staff at the hotel reception when we arrived in the late morning. We wanted to store our lugguage before checking in at 3pm. We managed to go into the reception area with other guests going out. Called the number to reach the staff and the phone was at the reception desk without any attendance!
The swimming pool was freezing, the jacuzzi was cold, the dry sauna was barely warm after 30 minutes and there was no steam in the sauna. The room feels tiny, much smaller than claimed 215 sqft. Finally, the view from my “sea view” room was blocked by street trees.

I chose this hotel because on the pictures it looks Modern and clean...However when we checked into our room, we found several ants crawling on the bed!!! After calling the front desk , they sent someone up and help us checked into another room...later that night we found a small cockroach in the bathroom... I gave 4 star for their service, however they really need to pay lots of attention on The Cleanliness and Pest control.
It is a small boutique hotel with nice spa amenities and walking distance to the tourist area and harbor. No issue with hotel itself BUT the price I paid was $280 which is not worth it. I had expected a much bigger hotel with more amenity for that price. This hotel is worth about $100 a night in my opinion.
It's not located in the city center, but I did enjoy the quietness and space. The pool is nice too. Off-site parking is only 50M away, still convenient. Breakfast can be improved though. Overall speaking, good choice for a family trip.
Location is great. It's close to the traditional area in Tainan. Walking around 15 mins could reach the most popular streets. It's quiet because it's not right in the busy area. Hotel itself is new built. However, the housekeeping is not detailed. I could found dust on the top of wardrobe and the edge of the floor. Offering simple breakfast but it is enough for us.
The room's insulation is too bad, especially there were 2 littles kids stay on the upper floor room. After several times reflection, the staffs helped a lot.
When I booked this hotel, my filter was "Pool". Only a couple of hotels came up in Tainan with a pool. Since this was in Anping, which is the area we were interested in, and seemed to be a quiet couples type hotel, I booked it. Sadly, when we got there, we found the pool closed for repairs and the hotel guests had mostly brought their children, so breakfasts became a noisy crowd, and the spa was often filled with screaming children. The room we got was great, but it was one of the 2 largest with a huge tub. The other rooms were rather small, and most did not have tubs. Another disappointment was the lack of guest bath robes. As a spa, one would really expect that amenity.
The area was nice, with a dog park just across the street filled with very friendly animals and their owners. Buses were few and far between. There is a city bike stand a few minutes walk away. Most of the major attractions are within walking distance. The local restaurants that we tried were both good.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Taxis can be called and arrive promptly.
The Bali theme of the hotel was well done. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Just expect breakfast and the spas to be somewhat crowded and noisy.
New and clean hotel. Comfortable bed, small swimming pool and small massage pool. Good to stay 1night. Thai style. Poor breakfast with less selection and no food serves around 9:00 even it till 9:30. Should be improved as breakfast costs nothing in Taiwan n it adds value of your hotel. Bad impression :(
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Move hotel. It's spalike setting was most tranquil.
We enjoyed the location being so close to the old town. Everything was very walkable.
The breakfast area was beautiful and we even enjoyed it at night when it was lit up. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere for hours.
The pool area was pretty in the daytime and at night. We enjoyed rotating around to the 3 different temperature pools. Although the largest pool was a little on the too cold side.
We enjoyed 2 nights at this little gem of a hotel and wished we could have stayed longer.
