"This motel has capitalized on the Scandinavianisms in the area, (and I'm Scandinavian, so I do recognize it!) including having guests do a self-check in. I understand the idea is to save on staff and keep costs down, it's just not very organized. I booked my room through Expedia, where I got a notification that I would receive a check-in code by email 24 hours before my check-in time. I didn't. I got to the motel at 2:45 pm, check in was at 3. There was no reception area at the motel, no staff...
