calypter is reduced and modified to carry a number of long, ventrally-directed spines, prominent posteriorly, and the lower
calypter is scale-like with a fringe of setae similar to the shorter setae on the upper
calypter.

Some eggs were situated in unusual body parts, difficult to access, such as the ventral part of the abdomen and between the two
calypters (Figs 5-7).
