The most common species in the oxbows are
cyprinids, with crucian carp (Carassius carassius) and rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus) usually dominant.
The records of Bothriocephalus sp from native
cyprinids in Africa and India are considered to be B.
Linking the field and laboratory, other
cyprinid studies have found that species such as Blacknose Dace exhibit swimming performance values that covary with current velocity and basin (Nelson et al.

Cyprinid) from the Koukoum River, Cameroon.
A number of studies have described infections by Myxobolus of the digestive system of freshwater fish, in particular the intestine, of
cyprinids (MASOUMIAN et al., 1996; MOLNAR, 2002; MAGAHMI et al, 2008) and catfish (Siluriformes).
Similarly, LTRM consistently sampled with mini fyke nets (designed to sample small bodied
cyprinid species) for 19 years without collecting a single Channel Shiner.
In addition, similar results for one of the
Cyprinid fish Capoeta banarescui, which is a freshwater fish, were shown that the relationship between total length and otolith weight ([r.sup.2]=0.56) is lower than the other relationships between otolith length ([r.sup.2]= 0.88) and otolith width ([r.sup.2]= 0.83) (Keskin).
Due to low specificity for both intermediate and definitive hosts, and by colonizing other
cyprinid as well as poeciliid hosts, the Asian tapeworm easily became established within native fish populations in new regions and continents, eventually resulting in its current global distribution (Hoffman 1999, Font 2003, Choudhury and Cole 2012).
(3-5) They eat large numbers of silver
cyprinid fish, laden with mercury, probably from gold mining in the region, which spews mercury into fish habitat.
Apparently, there is no relationship between population invasion, pollution of the environment by helminth eggs, and shellfish and
cyprinid infection rate.
Present study is aimed at assessing whether PCB (Aroclor 1242) had any potential to cause negative effects on certain reproductive parameters of female freshwater
cyprinid fish, Cyprinion watsoni.

carpio) are both freshwater and brackish water fish of the
cyprinid family, living in slow-moving freshwater habitats, particularly lakes and lowland rivers [17].
