The other causes were epididymal cyst 11%, congenital hydrocele 14%, encysted hydrocele of cord 7%, secondary hydrocele 2%, haematocele 3%, pyocele 4% and spermatocele 2%.
In one case, we cannot identify testis (A case of traumatic haematocele).
A similar picture was found in haematocele. Hence, it is difficult to differentiate haematocele from pyocele ultrasonologically.
In chronic cases we got internal echoes, septation and caused difficulty in differentiating the condition from pyocele or haematocele. In chronic hydrocele, internal echoes were due to presence of cholesterol and tyrosine crystals, which were proved cytologically.
A differential diagnosis of left sided traumatic haematocele was made based on the examination and USG scrotum findings.
