Halma has acquired X-Rite's Labsphere business for $13.9 million in cash and a deferred cash consideration of $1.5 million.
This acquisition, which is expected to be immediately earnings enhancing, was funded from
Halma's existing cash and debt facilities.
Prior to this, Ms Chesney served as the company secretary of
Halma, the FTSE 100 health, safety and environmental technology group, until 2018, having also served as the group financial controller.

Hanovia is a subsidiary company of
Halma, an international market leader in specialist electronic, safety and environmental technologies.
Hach and Palintest are subsidiaries of Danaher and
Halma, respectively.

Halma agreed to buy fire & evacuation systems supplier Ampac Group for AUD135 million, equivalent to GBP74 million.
The biggest risers on the FTSE 100 were Rentokil Initial up 9.1p to 349.5p, Sage Group up 16p to 642.8p, TUI up 28.5p to 1,190p, and
Halma up 28p to 1,450p.
