Caption: Figure 3: Contrast-enhanced computed tomography of
nasopharynx showing enhancing heterogeneous mass lesion (yellow arrowed) involving left
nasopharynx, sphenoid sinus, and base of the skull
The statistically different values in the TWB group were the SNA, ANB, Wits, oropharynx, and hypopharynx values, while in the FRD group, the ANB, Wits,
nasopharynx, oropharynx, and hypopharynx values were statistically different.
Oral examination revealed a single soft mass extending from
nasopharynx involving the uvula at the soft palate [Figure 1].
The radiograph showed a large polypoid mass obstructing the right nasal cavity, the
nasopharynx, and extending to the epiglottis (Figure 1).
Magnetic resonance imaging showed different degrees of soft-tissue thickness of the bilateral wall, especially the right sidewall, and top and posterior wall of the
nasopharynx as well as enlarged cervical nodes were identified [Figure 1]a and [Figure 1]b.
Malays, on the other hand, had the highest survival in ovarian, brain and nervous system, and stomach cancers, while the ethnic Chinese had the highest survival in prostate, female breast, cervix uteri and
nasopharynx cancers.
In mouth breathing children, lateral cephalometric radiography using two-dimensional images could only distinguish possible obstruction of
nasopharynx; video endoscopy with a flexible fiberscope inserted into the nasal cavity gave details about color, texture, and volume of
nasopharynx and was more reliable.
bleeding from Little's area, rhinosinusitis, DNS with spur, foreign body of nose, fibroangioma, traumatic injuries, hypertension, juvenile nasoangiofibroma, rhinosporidiosis, esthesioblastoma, carcinoma of nose and PNS, carcinoma
nasopharynx, hereditary telangiectasia.
In her endoscopic nasal examination, a polypoid structure, of which the pedicle originated in the lateral nasal wall on the left, extended to the
nasopharynx and obstructed the choana on both sides (Figure la, lb).
Tumour was seen to involve the
nasopharynx and sphenoid sinus, eroding the basisphenoid.
When we examined the
nasopharynx with a mirror to visualize the adenoid tissue, we observed a foreign body in the choanae.
(1) The nasal cavity and
nasopharynx are less commonly affected, but the lesions can present with nasal obstruction and epistaxis in these locations.
Although acute otitis media (AOM) has decreased in number, what can be baffling to some families is the fact that some strains of the same organism species cause AOM and some simply colonize the
nasopharynx (NP) of children without causing any disease at all.
Nasopharyngeal cancer affects the
nasopharynx, which is in the upper part of the throat, behind the nose.
Nasopharynx (NP) is anatomically difficult to explore adequately.
