As one who comes from Transcona, where so many of the CNR campers came from originally, and still do, I cherish childhood memories of arriving by train, in my case at Malachi, Ontario, and trudging off down the path toward my Uncle's log cabin, flashlight in hand and packsack on my back, happily following my Dad into the gently threatening darkness that would be transformed the following day into a wonderful world of blue sky, clean water, cedar strip craft, small outboards, and good fishing.
Perhaps ninety-four-year-old "Pop" Hollandsworth would be a preferable choice for this assignment, although it is somewhat questionable whether he can, veritably, carry a tune (even in one of his ample packsacks).
