In addition, illite (6.5%), gehlenite (6.3%), dolomite (3.0%), larnite (2.3%), hematite (2.3%),
periclase (1.3%), wollastonite (1.0%), merwinite (0.9%), ettringite (0.7%), melilite (0.3%) and calcium aluminate hydrate (0.3%) are present.
In the case of the HT-1 and the HT-2 catalyst at 500[degrees]C, the specific area is higher, which is attributed to the decrease in the crystallinity of the
periclase and the increase in the amorphous structure of the spinel.
The salicylic acid and methanol (SAM) extraction dissolves alite ([C.sub.3][S.sup.1]), belite ([C.sub.2]S), and free lime (CaO), leaving behind a residue of the tricalcium aluminate ([C.sub.3]A) and ferrite ([C.sub.4]AF) interstitial phases as well as minor phases including
periclase (MgO) and alkali sulfates such as arcanite (K[bar.S]), thenardite (N[S.sub.S]), and langbeinite (K[M.sub.2] [[bar.S].sub.3]), calcium sulfates (gypsum, bassanite, and anhydrite), and carbonates (calcite and dolomite).

According to the XRD results, ZnO, MgO, [H.sub.3]B[O.sub.3], and zinc borate (commercial) were characterised as "01-079-2205" coded zinc oxide, "01-077-2179" coded
periclase, "01-0732158" coded sassolite, and "00-035-0433" coded zinc oxide borate hydrate, respectively.

For this purpose magnesite is first calcined deeply to convert it to a stable form of magnesium oxide (
periclase), which would not absorb CO2 or moisture even at lower temperatures.
Hot bending strength and creep behaviour at 1000-1400[degrees][degrees] C of high alumina refractory castables with spinel,
periclase and dolomite additions, Journal of the European Ceramic Society 29: 53-58.
3 October 2011 - Austrian refractory material producer RHI AG (WBAG:RHI) said it had taken over Irish raw materials producer Premier
Periclase for EUR21m (USD28m).
Two varieties of Magnesium oxide manufactured by Dead Sea
Periclase were purchased from Signet, Mumbai.
Magnesium oxide or magnesia occurs naturally as
periclase is highly mobile in the form of [Mg.sup.2+].
Dead Sea MFR, a joint venture with Dead Sea
Periclase, produces a number of grades of magnesium hydroxide materials.
Oxidation induction melting is performed in the ILT-0.02 furnace in the
periclase crucible, whereby impurities in oxide form, which are present in initial feedstock, interact with the crucible material--periclase, forming complex oxide compounds on basis of MgO-spinel that are in solid-liquid state at values of the process temperature up to 2000 [degrees]C.
The lower the mole fraction of carbon dioxide in the ambient fluid (X C[O.sub.2]), the lower the temperature required for brucite and
periclase to be stable.
