Art trades, pride month, specifics [Closed]
Not first come first serve, but I do want to start contacting people a week from posting. So read and respond as soon as you can.
For the first time in a long time, I’m open for art trades. I’ve got some qualms in regards to me monetarily profiting off of pride-related content, but things will also get overwhelming if I posted a “free art requests” announcement to 1000 people. And considering that I’ve also got my own wants, I figured this would be the best way to mitigate all these feelings.
Not limited to a specific kind of traditional artwork—though watercolors do entice me, if anything—so I’m pretty open to what people can offer (...just no sculptures that I can’t fit through my doorway. Ha ha. Maybe I would have, had I more space where I live). Even if it’s something you haven’t really done before, or something you haven’t done in a while. Experimenting could be fun.
Basically, if you can make it and can get it shipped to me, that’ll do for your half. I’ll cover the cost of shipping, as well as give info on how to ship if you need assistance with that.
Again: Not first come first serve, but I would like to get plans figured out sooner than later so that I can get started and finish them all before June starts. I had planned to take on a lot more slots when I had written this out last year, but with new life circumstances, I don't see myself able to take on any more than 3 of these. And as to why I'd choose someone over someone else: it's based on if I find myself particularly inspired by a character’s design with the given pride flag(s) and personality that I can see myself making something interesting. These are artistic liberty after all.
With that said, comment below if interested (no need to restate the text, just number your answers):
1. Briefly describe what kind of traditional art you’d like to do in return. I’m pretty much just giving you a character and letting you have (SFW) free reign of what you’d like to do.
2. Show me what your character looks like—only one character please. Include a few personality descriptors.
3. Include the names and images of what gender/orientation pride flags you’d want. (Multiple flags are fine. Encouraged, even)
4. Tell me when you’d be able to get started (at least by the end of March), and an estimated turnaround time (2 months maximum, please). I won’t start working on your icon until you’ve given me a progress shot of some sort.
5. If you’d be shipping the artwork from outside the United States.
6. (Optional) Anything else you want to say.
Lastly, if you’re among the few who have already received a pride month icon from me, it’d be best to let others have a chance this time—unless it’s been a few days and there aren’t any comments yet.

Things I will be creating: Pride month icons, animated, artistic liberty. Just like these: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52360724/
What I am looking for in return: Traditional artwork, shipped (I live in California in the US).

Did a light up one for a friend a while back, too: https://twitter.com/KalShork/status.....454701/photo/1
I imagine you wouldn't be limited by color, would you? There's an age-old piece that I have (made by an artist who has been nowhere to be found for years) that I think would look great in a red engraving.
With that said, go and comment your icon info when you can.
I have several frame designs I can show you later you can pick from if you're going for something hanging like a badge. Though, I will have to admit I don't have any battery holders for a light up one right now and that would take me a bit longer to source the parts. Still not got those wholly fleshed out yet.
1. Already mentioned up in my last lil bit, ha. Suppose I'll repeat it though, I engrave existing artwork onto acrylic sheets with a rotary tool, 3d print a frame for a hanging badge or standee, and color fill it.
2. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35833998/ Have my shark boy, Kal. I'd call em hyperactive, mischievous, and a bit of a joker.
3. Couple pride flags, eh? Well, I really like the classic pride flag, the original rainbow, and the rubber pride flag is super cool.
4. I could start it as soon as possible, though if you want it to be a light up one it would take a little longer to finish depending on how much it would take me to get a couple parts in. I can also design the frame in various shapes you'd want, so that may change the finish time. Wouldn't take me more than two months that I can promise.
5. I would not no.
6. Cumquat.
2. https://toyhou.se/25258644.-#77273172 https://toyhou.se/25258644.-#76079814 basic emo guy, aloof , but shy to show expressions because its embarassing to him
