Personality Description:

General Description: Cadix is smart and adventurous, but not a thrill seeker. Coming from a life of constant danger, he likes safety and comfort, but isn’t scared to face death head-on. He has an impractical streak, however, that tends to think big, bold dreams, and he spends most of his time trying to figure out how to realistically accomplish them without compromising them. In this way he is a schemer, though he would describe himself as a dreamer, and he doesn’t let other people’s choices hold back his dreams.

Relationships: Cadix is mostly independent. He likes being around other people, but he’s just as good on his own. He has a tendency not to wait on other people to do things, but will if asked. Most of the time it just doesn’t occur to him that people would want to go with him, and when they express not wanting to do what he wants to, he doesn’t see a reason why that should stop him from doing it.

Cadix tends to be open with friends and strangers alike, and treats them relatively the same, except he will occasionally include his friends in his scheming. Cadix has never really had a romantic relationship. As such, he will typically treat females he’s attracted to like his friends, except he will actively seek them out almost daily, where he doesn’t with normal friends, and will act uncertain when they don’t want to participate in his plans.

Background Description: Cadix comes from a wasteland of acid and black smoke. There, the food chain starts with the bacteria that feasts upon the acid, and so the creatures there, including Cadix, tend to produce the same green glow, and have partial immunity. Their lives are bleak and harsh, and Cadix has always hated it there. As such, upon reaching his maturity, Cadix chose to brave the great smoking mountains that cut the wasteland off from the rest of the world and venture out to see it. He has left behind many family and friends for this, but he understands that it is their choice to stay in that harsh but familiar home. It is his choice to leave.

History of Character’s Name*: Cadix’s name comes from his mother’s whimsy. He was born in Winter, when the Black Smoke Mountains are calmest, on a day when the sky was clear and blue. Loving the beauty of such a winter sky, his mother named him for a variant of “Idyllic Place” (Arcadia) in hope that he would someday live in a place where the sky was always so idyllic.

Living Conditions: Cadix currently travels throughout the land, exploring the world outside the wasteland he was born. He typically stays more to the jungle areas, as they are the most foreign to him and teeming with life, though.

Hobbies: Cadix likes to go exploring mostly, however, he does have a great interest in music and gardening. His interest in music stems from a rather bad flute player whose off-tune songs hurt Cadix’s sensitive ears. After a much arguing, the musician told Cadix he couldn’t say anything if he couldn’t play himself. As such, Cadix decided he would no how to play, just to shut up all the bad musicians in the world.

Cadix’s interest in gardening is mostly theoretical, since he’s never seen such abundance of plant life before, and finds the idea of growing one’s own fascinating. However, since he is currently traveling, he doesn’t have much chance to do any gardening.

Powers:
Immunities: Cadix has partial immunity to acid and poisonous smoke. His claws have complete immunity to the acid.

Enhanced Hearing: Cadix has incredible hearing, a necessity when your homeland is typically obscured by smoke and ash.

Acid Spit: He has glands in his mouth that holds a weak form of the acid from his homeland, but still strong enough to burn someone. This acid can be shot out of his mouth at high speeds or mixed with his own saliva. Mixing it with his saliva is dangerous, however, as the lining of the glands has a stronger immunity to the acid than the rest of his body, and it can cause him to be sick for a time proportional to how long the acid was mixing with his saliva, and kill him if it lasts too long.

Poison Claws: While in his homeland, Cadix could dip his claws in acid pools and use them as at first acidic weapons, and then later as poisoned weapons once the acid had burned off, leaving a poisonous residue. Outside his homeland Cadix can use his acid spit on the ground and dip his claws in that for a less potent version. Cadix is immune to the poison part only if the acid comes from his own glands.

Potential Powers for Fox Fire Abilities: If typical demon fox fire is applicable to Cadix, all of his fox fire burns green and yellow, but is otherwise the same.

Orientation: A 1 on the Kinsey Scale, Cadix is almost exclusively heterosexual. Cadix feels not disgust toward homosexuals or their relationships, he just doesn’t feel any attraction either. He only feels awkward when other males hit on him because he isn’t sure how to handle the situation sometimes (as in turn them down politely.)
