A friend of mine does weekly Bob Ross paintings and invited me to join him :) I painted along with Bob Ross
season 4 ep 13! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2cjLA_wgIk
I'm really delighted with how it came out <3 It was a challenge converting his traditional oil-painting methods to digital but it was fun! I've never done this before and for a first try I think I did pretty good :D
I used this brushset: http://www.evenant.com/design/conce.....rt-brush-pack/ and Photoshop.

Ahhh, it's even more glorious in the full resolution \o/ Outstanding work Dracky, loved seeing this one come to life!
Thank you sooo much Cab, I'm really happy you enjoyed watching me (and bob) paint it!
I'm so glad we still have all this footage, dozens of seasons of painting!
I have a few friends who painted along with Bob Ross and they looked pretty great, just as yours does. Something about Bob makes you want to be a better person in general.
He is such a good teacher and the methods he uses help even complete noobs of painting get something decent! :)
A bummer I don't have the supplies handy. I would definitely give it a try myself.
I think the hardest part is getting the wet on wet paint look right. He always prepares his canvases with a coat of white or black, so getting that potential for blending might require a few tweaks!
OOF translating his traditional medium to digital was hard, haha! I think for this one he started with a dry canvas but yes generally he does do a lot of blending that I just don't get with how my programs are set up ^^"
Beautiful! ^^ Is this your first time painting with Bob Ross, because I gotta say, this looks great. :)
Haha thank you so much! :D Yes the white caps truly bring the water to life! Before them I was kinda iffy about the water but it looks decent now ;P
When I saw the preview I was Like "Wait is that a Bob Ross painting?" and sure enough lol. You did an amazing job
I was like oh, mountains in back, trees in middle, river in front, that is the Bob Ross formula
Well, my oppinion might sound a bit strange:
if you zoom out, to make the picture small it looks really nice, but the details on original size arent there. There it looks more like a mess.

You're absolutely correct, that's what a speedpaint should be :) I did this in like an hour or 1.5 hr tops haha, bob did it in 25 minutes, you should look at his painting!
Ahhh thanks! You should do it too if you haven't yet! Your style works so well with Bob Ross' way of painting!
I've tried before, but that was when I didn't have texture brushes.
I'll have to try sometime C: <3
