[[NOT MY ART]]A Dragon's Delicious Deal - 4/4
Locked away inside the belly of the beast, Danathius gave an exhausted grunt. The air, while thin, was also incredibly hot. The fleshy chamber felt as though it had temperature as oppressive as that of a day in an arid desert. Sweat began to trickle down the sides of the man’s face and body, mingling with the saliva and mucus already coating his skin. He had depleted his strength while fighting against the dragon’s powerful esophagus, so he knew he had nothing left to give to fend off the rippling stomach walls. Breathing heavily, the human only leaned his back against the soft, squishy interior of the gut, and he closed his eyes. At least the dragon’s stomach lining was soft – easily the most pliant material the mage had ever laid upon. It was, unsurprisingly, extraordinarily similar to the interior of Astrix’s belly.
Just as the human morsel closed his eyes, a terrible gurgle echoed through the chamber. In a state of panic, the human jolted forward, only to yelp aloud when the stomach walls collapsed down upon him in a tight, powerful hug. No doubt the digestion process was about to begin! Quickly trying to think of a way to knock himself out, the mage’s only escape seemed to be a spell, but attempting to get a spell off in such a chaotic environment could prove troublesome, and if Cain ever found out that the mage had performed magic inside of the dragon… Was a painful death to be his fate today?
Air was sucked out of the top of the digestive chamber, making the mage’s precious air supply even more scarce! The stomach walls folded atop one another, squeezing down on Danathius hard while the echo of a loud, boisterous and thunderous belch reverberated through the gut! The stomach rocked around the man, while he squirmed in place as he sunk into the soft, fleshy lining. With his vision growing hazy, the mage expected that catch one last glimpse of Cain’s stomach before awakening in his laboratory, in his back-up body. Something strange seemed to happen, however… The dragon swallowed, and with it, came a fresh supply of air delivered directly to his gut. Danathius found it easier to breathe, and he started to feel less tired, more aware of his fleshy prison.
Cain cracked his lips and let out a deafening burp. He smacked his lips, tasting just a hint of the mage before licking over his own lips to greedily grab any lingering flavors of the human hybrid he had just swallowed down. He had rolled onto his back, and glancing down at his stomach, he couldn’t even make out a bulge – the lad was hidden away from the world under a tonnage of scale, flesh and muscle. The great brown brought up one of his forepaws and gave his gut a firm pat after swallowing a mouthful of air for the occupant inside of him.
“Be grateful, mageling,” the dragon commented aloud, quite aware that Danathius could hear him, “you’re the first human that I haven’t immediately digested.” That was a lie, of course – Graham had been given the privilege of surviving a trip down the dragon’s gullet. But the dragon had an appearance to keep up – he refused to show weakness at all costs!
“Y-you’re not going to kill me,” the man’s muffled reply came. It was likely inaudible, but to a dragon with a keen sense of hearing, it sounded as a whisper. A desperate, fearful whisper, of course.
“I haven’t decided,” Cain mused, giving a yawn while his eyes lidded for a moment, “though, it’s certainly a possibility.” In truth, Cain was quite pleased with the mage’s actions. He had been quick to submit to the dragon, and the morsel hadn’t even cast a spell to protect himself. Of course, and Cain would never admit this, he did so enjoy the squirming of live prey inside of his gut…
“I-I see… That’s a bit of a relief,” the human mage muttered, relaxing his tensed muscles some.
“Don’t get too comfortable. I may yet use you for fuel, boy,” Cain snarled, tail thumping. He thoroughly enjoyed being in control, and he placed his footpaws atop the base of his tail while he relaxed. It had been a while since he could wield uncertainty as a weapon against a powerful opponent, and he would take his time to relish every second he had the mage imprisoned in his gut.
“Yes, sir,” Danathius sighed back, getting himself into a more relaxing position despite Cain’s command. If the dragon hadn’t ended him yet, the mage gambled that he would be allowed to leave the digestive chamber alive. Of course, there was only the matter of when he could leave…
“If I’m allowed to live, when can I leave,” the mage asked nervously, biting his lower lip. He didn’t want to press his luck, but, he didn’t want Astrix to worry about him too much…
“When I say, boy,” the dragon replied with a toothy smirk. He knew Danathius would obey, and he was glad to have another indebted to his service for the foreseeable future.

Once more, a very satisfying series, both in the story and the visuals! And good work getting Acidic to cram all of the niceties into this one last frame here. : )
And the end with some derg paws and one stisfied derg too~ <3
Such a cavalier attitude with the humans life... Love it!
Why should a dragon care about the life of a single human? ;D
That is a fantastic point! They're nothing more than meatbugs
Cain is certainly not going to pass up an opportunity to get in on good graces with the mage. He knows Danathius would perceive it as mercy, and that it would improve his standing in the mage's eyes. The Old Brown is much, much smarter than anyone gives him credit for, and he wants to keep it that way!
Still, it is nice to not be killed immediately! And having an ally like Cain could be handy where magic may not be enough, or -- more likely -- not a factor at all.
Glad you like the piece, though. I think Acidic did a fantastic job at capturing all of Cain's best features. Namely, all of him.

Such a great series~
I envy you Dan, I'd love to be swallowed hole by a derg like Cain!!

Somehow, vore where the prey doesn't make so much as a bulge (or a really small, ordinary, inconspicuous bulge) appeals more than the alternative. it's more believable, gives a sense of helplessness, and there's that nobody could ever know/guess someone is in there… If preds such as dragons really where able to eat prey whole normally and naturally, the size difference would have to be appropriate. Love this <3
