A completed commission for-  FeelingSanguine ^w^

This was a fun piece to work on, depicting a young character preparing for bed while traveling trough space. This picture certainly challenged how I was to approach the lighting and shading. The window behind the character showing space with all its mystical wonders was one thing I spent a great deal of time on trying to make it glow and look just right for the setting I was shooting for. All in all, I’m proud of how this turned out. The commissioner of this picture has received art from me before and has a lot of neat ideas. Which I’m happy they chose me to make this one visible. Little Sebastian, currently traveling through space. Is getting ready for night time when asked so kindly if he needs help putting on his PJ's. His subconscious reaction threw back a response without hesitation saying in a young, cute voice "nah, I gawt it". How adorable right? But who is Sebastian though? Why is a young kangaroo on a spaceship right now? Sebastian was adopted by, you can guess, "aliens" at a very young age. Why would an alien race take the time to adopt a small fur you ask? Well it's very easy you see, he wasn't actually adopted haha. That’s a tedious process, he was taken as an older adult but then regressed by his captors. They had a few memories changed around in his little helpless brain to help him fit the role as a cub. But not for no reason! Little Sebastian was chosen to serve a purpose! As small as he is now, it doesn't seem like there's much he can do right? That's what you're supposed to think.

His babyish appearance makes him look innocent but he is in fact a fierce warrior. His glowing sphere on the left side would be one weapon bound to him and him alone! That little device as pretty as it looks can have a devastating outcome to all who dare challenge him. Kind of like the infinity gauntlet off avengers but not quite as devastating... I think >.> His main purpose is to keep peace though. To serve as a god like figure held to such high expectations with special abilities. But as strong as he may be, our young protector still needs help keeping his pants dry because don't forget. He's still a cub in this world. He’s a loving friend to all who are worthy and wouldn't use his ability to threaten or hurt without great reason. The innocents of such a character is why he would be trusted with such power by an advanced race.

Why would anyone give something of great power to a child regardless, that's a big responsibility! He could kick that thing and we would all disintegrate! Don't be alarmed, as strong as the glowing sphere may be. It's completely harmless to him or anyone until it's needed. Otherwise, it's basically a fancy night light. Now I'm sure more questions can arise with this. Why would an advanced alien race need to have a little fur with great power at hand? Surely they should have the ability to defend themselves and so on right? Well, as advanced as some can be. It's the simplest of things you have that can be taken for granted. Kind of like electricity, think about it. Once it's gone that means no internet, no TV, no lights, no charging, no art, no nothing. Even in recent events such as a pandemic. It was nice when you could just travel around and get supply's without a care. But once it all shut down, people had to be isolated, and supplies became low due to lack of production. Suddenly you come to realize what you have. Now how does that contribute to Sebastian's story? Children shouldn't be taken for granted just because of their size and age. They can be quite powerful in a world like Sebastian's for example. Sebastian's alien kidnappers realize the power such innocents can contain so why not utilize it. Now what is to come of a power wielding roo? Held by a technically advanced race flying through space?

I think that's a story for another time little one~
