Heya!
Picture this scene, your friend tells you that they are getting donuts. Chocolate ones to be percise, and not just grocery store donuts but straight from a shop where the lobby is smaller than a large walk-in closet. Where you know that each fried doughy circle of goodness will hit your tongue like a truck with yummy-ness, and the workers pour out their souls into each donut. You are obviously excited and look forward to having some! But because you are a busy person, your friend gets home before you do. Now you have to wait for your donut prizes >:(
However you forget (and how could you forget) that your friend is actually a large brown doggo with an affinity for food. Now you could blame yourself for not realizing that a dog picking up treats and leaving some for others is a far fetched (pun intended) idea but hey if he called you to begin with then surely he'll make sure to stave off his hunger for anything edible long enough to save some for you! Maybe that would be true if the time the large brown doggo had alone with 16 donuts was short, but if you're gone long enough to where when you come home the canine already stripped down to his essentials so be could lounge around - then don't be surprised when pretty much all of those treats get deposited into said doggo's belly XD
Like imagine getting home, wanting to unwind with the treats your friend supposedly has for you only to come upon a big empty box with 3/4 of ONE donut with a post-it note saying that hey I left some for you! Now the real question is, was the note left before the consumption of all the donuts or after? Either way the large brown doggo's guilty expression with evidence of his plunder left behind nothing but an empty box and your realization that anytime it comes to food you shouldn't get your hopes up if you aren't there to snatch it up before the canine does haha.
That big brown doggo being Reede in this case, his lack of self control just makes him more adorable and who could really stay mad at seeing him standing right infront of you chewing on some donut with that goofy expression as you get a full front on view of where all the donuts went XD
If you listen closely you might even be able to hear the canine's middle section make adorable sloshy sounds as all the chocolate and bread begin to transform Reede into a more cuddly doggo haha. Just pet the belly and maybe just maybe Reede will get flustered enough to actually save you some treats for next time :D
To be honest I wouldn't even be mad, just sad that I couldn't be there when Reede happily munched on them all haha. Nothing better than petting a dog when you're giving them a treat! If Reede licks you in the face, prepare yourself for whatever is lurking scent wise in that muzzle lol.
I love this drawing, and I did have to really think about what else Reede could get himself into. I always got caught up in how I thought I should represent Reede - one thing was that I figured he lives alone so he never really interacts with anyone, or I should draw something abstract/realistic featuring him. All of this made my mindset stay stagnant in how I made dumb concepts for drawings, but now I'm tossing all that out the window and just being goofy hence snack shop Reede and now donut destroyer Reede XD
I'm getting super comfortable with anatomy, enough to where I don't have a super amount of trouble with putting things together. It's not perfect obviously however being able to draw a cuddly doggo efficiently is always a plus! Im starting to get the hang of inking in a nice manner so the drawing doesn't look too flat. Also facial expressions are coming together, albeit slowly!
Another thing too that I would like to say...
I love and adore drawing tall ploosh doggos with equally as cuddly tums, and featuring Reede and his hungy nature has always put a smile on my face. It's what I know and am comfortable drawing easily, plus I of course love love love it. But I don't want to only draw Reede or art showcasing this kind of content alone, so I'm try my best to branch out after my next comic upload. Don't worry, I am not stopping my love for big fluffy canines and my art if them - only I'm gonna start to showcase my love for other things too like video games, movies, cartoons, etc!
Don't worry Reede will always be available for belly rubs no matter what XD

Who could stay mad haha. He's definitely done this before and will have an impossible time to stop in the future, might as well make the most of it and just play into his shenanigans by giving him even more treats haha.
