Bill Nighy to play villain in I, Frankenstein

Bill Nighy is about to unveil his nasty side again as the lead villain in Stuart Beattie’s I, Frankenstein .
Nighy is in talks to play a demon prince, with Socratis Otto ( X-Men Origins: Wolverine ) signed to play his henchman (because every villain needs a henchman).
Beattie, who has performed scripting duties on the Pirates Of The Caribbean films, as well as G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra , is directing the modern day tale of Frankenstein’s monster, Adam, who finds himself hunted by demons that want to learn the secret of his creation in order to build an army of reanimated corpse demons.
Aaron Eckhart leads the Lionsgate-produced feature that is based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grivioux, co-creator of the Underworld franchise. The film has a spring 2013 release date pencilled in.
Nighy, who is currently lending his voice to Arthur Christmas , has a busy 2012 planned with appearances due in Clash Of The Titans 2 , Jack The Giant Killer and the anticipated remake of Total Recall .
But up next, he will star alongside Dame’s Judi Dench and Maggie Smith in John Madden’s The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel , which opens on 9 March 2012.
