    My October Predictions:

    1. Adrien Brody, The Brutalist
    2. Timothee Chalamet, A Complete Unknown
    3. Colman Domingo, Sing Sing
    4. Ralph Fiennes, Conclave
    5. Sebastian Stan, The Apprentice

    6. Daniel Craig, Queer
    7. John David Washington, The Piano Lesson
    8. Jesse Eisenberg, A Real Pain
    9. Glen Powell, Hit Man
    10. Paul Mescal, Gladiator 2

Mescal’s only here because Joker 2 might have single-handedly destroyed the entire superhero genre and I don’t know who else to put in. It’s still Craig vs Stan for that 5th slot unless A Complete Unknown completely blows. Globe Comedy feels like Eisenberg vs Powell right now.

I am inclined to think that, precisely because it’s bombing, AMPAS and Hollywood might want to vindicate The Apprentice. Just a hunch. Maybe just focusing on Strong, who I can see winning – after watching the film – specially if Culkin is moved to Lead, as plenty are saying he should.

Even if he is truly a lead that doesn’t mean he will change categories. Both actor and supporting actor essentially have three spots almost locked and then a broad range of contenders for 4 and 5. Even if Strong is seen by many as having the best performance there is more than that needed to win and with a movie performing weekly after massive coverage the realistic state of the film right now is that it’s going to drop further and further and a globes nom for acting will most likely not even save momentum

Only confident in Brody and Fiennes, anyone else can easily miss

    1) Brody
    2) Fiennes
    3) Domingo
    4) Chalamet
    5) Stan

Also, moving Strong to lead would be a mistake considering they have an actual lead in the same film with strong reviews, maybe not better than Jeremy, but still acclaimed.

    2-time Oscar winner, EMMA STONE
