Love ad Lib is book 1 of the Foxbrooke series by Evie Alexander. It is a standalone rom-com told from both POV with a HEA.

Tropes:
✔️ grumpy-sunshine
✔️ fake relationship
✔️ one bed

Love ad Lib, the first book in the series, offers readers a charming romantic comedy filled with eccentric characters, amusing family dynamics, and a touch of Jane Austen. While the story delivers on its promises of grumpy/sunshine romance, fake relationships, and a happy ending, there are a few aspects that left me with mixed feelings.

One of the highlights of Love ad Lib is its vibrant and eccentric cast of characters. Lord Henry Foxbrooke, the shy and reserved heir, finds himself caught in a web of outrageous family dynamics that provide constant laughter and surprises. The author skillfully captures the humor in their interactions, creating an enjoyable and lighthearted atmosphere.

Libby Fletcher, the sweet and kind-hearted fake girlfriend, adds a refreshing touch to the story. While her naivety and gullibility may occasionally verge on being overly idealistic, her character is endearing and serves as a perfect foil to Henry's grumpiness. Their slow-burn romance is lovely and allows their connection to develop and deepen.

The author incorporates references to Jane Austen's works, particularly Pride and Prejudice, which were enjoyable and added a playful touch.

Love ad Lib succeeds in delivering a sweet romance with a healthy dose of laughter.

You can read all of my reviews at Nerd Girl Loves Books.

I loved this first book in a new steamy, funny, contemporary romance series. Once again, Alexander brings us a quirky family with multiple siblings who lead very different lives from each other. I can't wait to see what adventures are in store for each sibling on the journey to their own HEA in future books.

This book centers on Lord Henry Foxbrooke, the reluctant heir to his eccentric father’s estate. His family is increasing the pressure for him to return home to Somerset, get married, and start producing heirs. Henry, however, wants a stress-free life in London. His 30th birthday celebration weekend is coming up, and an impulsive lie to his mother that he has a girlfriend is now backfiring. Henry is expected to produce this girlfriend at his birthday celebration, so he needs to find a fake girlfriend fast.

Libby is an upbeat young woman barely surviving by teaching improv workshops with her very pregnant business partner. She's sweet, kind hearted and way too naive and gullible for her own good. When she loses her apartment, savings, and her business partner goes into labor, Libby's life goes into a severe downward spiral. So, when Henry offers her an acting job to be his fake girlfriend for a weekend, she jumps at the chance. What could possibly go wrong?

A lot, turns out. His family embraces Libby, much to Henry's surprise, and as he and Libby learn more about each other, the attraction grows stronger each day. I loved seeing Libby break down Henry's stuffy, stern facade and their teasing, flirty banter was swoon worthy. When they finally give in to their attraction, the steam practically floats off the pages. Be prepared to have a fan nearby - trust me, you'll need it. Henry will definitely be lots of women's new book boyfriend. I'm not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope or 3rd act break up, but I forgive the author this transgression here after reading their adorable, heart-warming reunion.

I loved the author's Kinloch series, and this new series does not disappoint. If you love sweet, funny RomComs with a HEA, this book can't be missed. Henry's parents cracked me up and I literally laughed out loud several times. I can't wait to read more of his parents antics in future books, which I assume will focus on Henry's siblings' romances.

I was provided a complimentary e-copy of this book from the author. All opinions are my own.

I love the first book of a series. I love meeting all the cast of characters and getting excited for all the subsequent stories that await!! In book one of the new series by @eviealexanderauthor we meet the Foxbrooke family, a zany crew led by the Duke of Somerset…a human form of one of those giant inflatable tube men in front of a car dealership- filled with hedonism and perversion waving his arms in favor of polyamory. He’s uninhibitedly bonkers and his family is a motley crew of personalities.

The Duke’s son, Henry, is the polar opposite of his father as every sphincter in his body is clenched up tight and he is constantly embarrassed by The Duke and his sexcapades. His family really wants Henry to get laid and put so much pressure on his relationship status that he hires an actress, Libby (truly the only sane person in the book) to pretend to be his GF. Libby is in love w the biggest dickhead (Like a Mt Rushmore sized head but instead of Abe Lincoln it’s a giant penis) who uses her and leaves her broke and emotionally scarred. She needs cash so agrees fake it w Henry.

There are many misunderstandings and dancing around feelings as Henry and Libby find their way from awkwardly fumbling to fantastically fornicating- and despite being uptight, Henry is a smooth lover! As this takes place in Jane Austenland (as us non Englishmen call it), there are many an Austen reference for which I will always enjoy. Why yes, Henry is a Darcy! I loved the wit and all the characters of this book-Evie has the perfect touch for writing a delectable steamy rom-com. I can’t wait to see how this whole series unfolds!!

The cinnamon roll hero used to be my most favorite fictional love interest. They truly were. But I now officially pronounce that I no longer want just a cinnamon roll hero. I want them to be BRITISH. A GENTLEMAN who writes CONTRACTS to protect my honor while fake dating him. A modern Darcy who knows how to ride horses among other things 😅 I want Lord Henry Foxbrooke to be the love interest in all the romance books I’m going to read from now on. Evie Alexander outdid herself in creating this perfect aloof gentleman and I’m afraid no one could ever top Henry ever again.

What a wonderful start of a new series! The first in the Foxbrooke-series definitely differs from the Kinloch-series, but has all the signature ingredients by this author: excellent humor, wonderful cast of characters, fun shenanigans, and impressive spice - oh my goodness, so much dazzling spice, you could use this book to flavor any bland food and upgrade it to be Michelin star worthy.

I loved Libby and Henry’s story and I almost fell out of bed, because I was laughing so hard. This was such a fun read, I can’t wait to follow Henry’s siblings falling in love and find their happily ever after in the next installments!

SWOON!!

I feel absolutely honoured to have been able to read this. Evie throws us straight into the chaos of the Foxbrooke family from the first page, and I was immediately hooked.

Henry is the perfect male love interest - charming, attractive, charasmatic, sweet, and much more reserved than his eccentric family. He is well balanced by Libby, who is much more self-assured, sunshiny, outgoing and open, and I loved watching the characters blossom together and bring out the best in each other.

And the chemistry!!! This book is HOT. Super steamy. Being a huge Pride and Prejudice fan, I absoloutley adored all of the Jane Austen references and parallels.

I highly recommend to all romance lovers, and also fans of historical fiction, as it is based on high society and due to the Jane Austen references.

In terms of tropes, this has it all: fake dating, one bed, grumpy-sunshine, forced proximity. This is the first fake dating book I have read, and I now look forward to picking up more!

I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

I received an ARC for free from the author, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

What I love about Evie’s books is how they always surprise me, yet still deliver the feels. I swooned and chuckled and cheered my way through this delightful story, as well as ruined two nights’ sleep by staying up way too late.

I can’t stop picturing Henry in a wet Darcy shirt… he’s just the most delicious, complex, flawed and loveable hero ever. So real and fascinating, a work of art. And Libby, our sunshine. She’s not the stereotype. Nothing Evie writes feels that way. Libby is adorable but her struggle is so real, her strengths and weaknesses beautifully highlighted throughout the story. By the end of it, I could hear her voice and see her face.

Evie’s humour is something special. You’ll feel like you’re having a long coffee date with the most hilarious friend telling you the most hilarious story… until she fades to the background, and you become the characters, feeling everything they feel.

If you’re easily shocked, brace yourself for an eyebrow raising beginning. But have faith. You’re in good hands and this story will deliver.

When I started listening to this book I didn’t knew what I got myself into. But it wasss such a great romcom! I couldn’t stop myself from wanting to know more and how these two characters end their story!
The banter, the crazy family (who doesn’t love a crazy family?) and the funny situation they end up made this entire book! It was funny, romantic and I ended up wanting to know more about the Foxbrooke family! Those are something else, that’s for sure!
Now, let’s get into Libby. I was a little unsure about her at first, probably because her improve job makes her a sound a little too excited about anything in general. But she was exactly what Henry needed. And I loved their interactions and relationship. As for Henry, well, how can someone be normal when their family is crazy?? He has his own craziness. And I loved how he tried to be normal when it’s in his blood to be different. ❤️😍
Thanks to NetGalley, Emlin Press and Evie Alexander I had a great time listening to this audiobook!!😍❤️

I cannot for the life of me believe this was published in 2023. Really? In today’s climate?

For a dad that supposedly cares about making sure his sex parties (yes, you read that right, sex parties) consist of consenting adults, Henry’s father doesn’t give a damn about the consent of his kids and their partners.

The dude constantly throws sex parties along with his two wives when his KIDS ARE IN THE HOUSE, and has done so since they were LITTLE. He constantly violates Henry and Libby’s privacy, barging into their room exposing himself with his robe open day after day, despite Henry repeatedly asking him to stop, and subjects everyone to graphic descriptions of his sexual acts. Hahaha. Isn’t that just so funny and quirky, and not at all an alarming case of sexual harassment?

Also, the author explains the real reason Henry doesn’t want to be around his family is because he’s a control freak. Not because they stomp all over his boundaries and subjected them to all this nonsense. I feel like they’re aiming for sex positivity, but have no idea what that actually entails, what with all the boundary stomping happening.

Lastly, it’s only mentioned like twice in the whole book that Henry is Black. He has a title. His mother is Black and a duchess. But his struggle growing up didn’t come from that. It came from his parents being in a polycule. Are you serious? You had Black people holding titles in England, you literally could have talked about his struggle with racism, or quite frankly anything else involving his Black identity instead of this bizarre situation with his parents.

Thank you NetGalley for the Advance Reader Copy.

Love ab Lib is a ridiculous romp that will leave you grinning from all of the antics. Alexander gives you a hint of what you are in for from the very start when poor Henry Foxbrooke walks into one of his father's sex parties. I was immediately wondering what I got myself into. The start of the book sets the stage to show how Henry has become so reserved in contrast to his kooky family.

Libby is a free spirit and a bit of a mess. It was hard to believe she was 'in love' with her horrible friend, who was constantly taking advantage of her. I like my heroines to be a bit smarter and self-reliant, but she grew on me as a lovable mess who cares for others.

In the last 1/4 of the book, you'll be screaming at the characters to just talk to one another (what is a rom-com without a bit of a misunderstanding), especially when it comes to the hellcat that makes its way into their lives. Full of colorful side characters, hijinx, and HUGE grand gestures, this book packs in a lot. And I always appreciate a Jane Austen reference and a man with a wet shirt (or two).

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 for me (but I can see how others will love this one)

I was rather pleasantly surprised with how much I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve been getting a bit jaded with romance novels lately and was worried that that might carry over to this book, but I couldn’t have been more mistaken. I was immediately drawn in by the story and by the characters. Henry is such a loveable cinnamon roll of a character, with his honorable and caring nature that you can’t help but like. Libby is sweet and fun and caring as well, and they make a great pair as they both figure out how to fit into each other’s lives.
I loved the romance tropes in this book, even though I’ve gotten a bit over-saturated with them of late. Evie Alexander does a great job with the fake dating and one bed tropes so that they didn’t feel forced or unnatural. I also appreciated how we didn’t have to deal with a long and drawn out miscommunication trope, because when Henry started acting like Mr Darcy, Libby immediately called him out on it and he explained himself and x cleared everything up. It was such a breath of fresh air to not have a simple misunderstanding be the entire focus of the plot.
Speaking of Mr Darcy, Evie Alexander is speaking my language with her nerdy references in these Foxbrooke stories. In One Night in Foxbrooke, it was Star Wars, and here it was Jane Austen. Swoon. I loved how so much of Libby’s Mr Darcy fantasy was incorporated and how Henry’s sister Estelle enabled it all by purposefully trying to put Henry and Libby in situations to make them play out.
Let’s talk about Estelle and the other side characters a bit. I gotta say, Evie Alexander knows how to write a side character and make you love them. Estelle was by far my favorite and I can’t wait to read the book centered around her. But honestly, Henry’s whole family was a hoot and adorably kooky in their antics.
Overall, this book was a win. I can’t give a book much higher praise than that I couldn’t wait to get back to reading it when I was forced to put it down, and that was the case for this one.

Love ad Lib was such a fun book! I have read other books with a fake relationship plot, but I thought having the lead be in improv with a really fun, smart twist on it.

I loved Henry’s family! His parents were all such unique characters and I have never read a book with a similar family dynamic. I really liked that even though Henry and his siblings are so different from their parents, they still clearly all loved each other.

The author was the narrator and I think she did an excellent job. She has an overly upbeat voice that worked really well for Libby, and I’m looking forward to see if she narrates the rest of the series as well.

I loved this so much! Libby and Henry are absolutely adorable, brilliant, captivating and delicious. Add to that so many eccentric, fabulous and absolutely hilarious characters and situations, as well as plenty of steam and swoon, and you have a book that cannot be put down. I am so excited for the rest of this series including more from these wonderful characters, that I cannot wait!

🦊 Fake it till you fall in love… 🦊

Welcome to the first full length novel in my new Foxbrooke series! Set in Somerset (where I live), it’s got everything from Jane Austen’s Bath to sex parties at stately homes…

I wanted to write a fake relationship story as I love reading them so much, and also wanted a couple who were very, very different. Henry is at one end of the social class system and Libby is at the other. Henry is a reserved grump, whereas Libby is a sunny actress and improv specialist. I was inspired to make this her career thanks to one of my oldest friends who does that exact job for a living, as well as my own experiences of attending an improv workshop without knowing in advance that I would be…

There are many books set in rural parts of the UK, specifically Cornwall, but very few set in Somerset. I wanted to celebrate this beautiful part of the world and include many of my favourite places. Foxbrooke is based on the Cotswold town of Corsham (north of Bath) where I grew up, but I’ve transplanted it south of Bath to the area around Midsomer Norton where I now live.

And… You can now check out all of the places that inspired Love ad Lib and read excerpts set in each place via the 🐿️ app! Check out the location map here!

Love ad Lib contains many of my favourite themes - parents embarrassing their children, fiery and funny characters, villains to make you scream at the page, and heat to make you swoon.

I’m so excited to bring this story to you!

If you love:

“I loved, loved, LOVED this book! Read it within 24 hours, a proper binge of British humour, hilarious family hijinks, a couple who are perfect for each other, and, of course, a villain thrown in for good measure.

This book will make you laugh, smile and SWOON!

Perfect for fans of Jane Austen, fake-relationship trope, one bed trope, eccentric posh families and so much more. If this book was turned into a movie, it would be up there with the rom com CLASSICS!

I cannot recommend this book enough.”

“Oh swoon, Evie you have absolutely smashed this. As the start of a new series we are incredibly spoiled by the characters, storylines and settings. I absolutely adore the entire Foxbrooke family and all their eccentricities.

Let's talk characters - Libby- hilarious, sweet, sunshine personified, full of heart and the perfect remedy for the seemingly uptight Henry who turns out to live up to his moniker Foxy in many ways - oh my someone fan me quick!! The wider Foxbrooke family all made me laugh - particularly Arthur, Mom and Mammy. Estelle needs her own book - I think I know where her story is going and I cannot wait for the fallout!

I had no idea I would harbour Mr. Darcy fantasies till this book…

There is steam aplenty here, definitely not for the faint hearted but I love it! READ THIS BOOK!!”

“This is the first book of a new romcom series by Evie Alexander, and she has frickin knocked it out of the park 😭 the humor, the romance and the general vibes in the book, everything was so good.

💫 Fake dating with slow burn and so much angst
💫 Pride and Prejudice inspired proposals 😭 these were executed so perfectly 😭
💫 A meddling family and an over-meddling grandma (think, Grandma Annie in The Proposal)
💫 An angry, growly cat
💫 Very cute grumpy-sunshine ❤️

This book really cheered me up so much, if you're looking for a book like that, I'd recommend this one!”

“Evie Alexander does it again! Creating an excellent world of characters and introducing us to Foxbrooke and the glorious countryside. There are so many interesting characters and I can't wait to read the whole series!

Things I am here for:
Libby is a pixie ray of sunshine. Her exuberance and wonder are so special.
Henry. Swoonworthy Henry.
Diverse romance! Multiple types of relationships, ages, and races!
Estelle! The best twin sister ever. Her plans are hilarious.
Claire's cuss-storm
The best cat name ever!
A legitimate flower field
Serafina and Sunny
The Sex Index. You are going to want to go back and relive what is under Henry's straight-laced persona. Hubba Hubba.
The absolute grand gesture to fix the third act breakup. One of the best grand gestures I've read!”
Steph Beaudoin

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Positively delightful start to a series.

I've voraciously read all of Evie's books, and I think I have a new favorite series of hers. Give me all the Foxbrooke drama!

This book is a perfect grump/sunshine if that's your favorite trope. Alexander has always done that trope well, and this is no different. Libby may have a sunny attitude and positive attitude at her job, but she's a giver... Translated, she's a doormat for her "boyfriend" Lucas to wipe his feet on.
Henry is the son of a duke. (A very unusual duke that has two wives.) He calls his second mother "Mam."

You can see where this is going. Imagine if Alex P. Keaton had a duke father that throws sex parties, a former model mother, a few siblings (one twin and some half) and woman he calls "Mam." How can hilarity not ensue with that family dynamic? In fact, this family is one of the best comedically written families I've read in romance. With the hijinks and family dynamic, someone get this family a TV sitcom.

Combine Libby and Henry in a fake dating situation where Henry wants his parents to think he has a girlfriend, a thirtieth birthday party, and a cast of side characters I want more of and you have a rocking good time complete with steam that isn't crude or angsty.

There's another book in the series on pre-order, and I'm mildly miffed we don't get Estelle's story in it. Guess I'll just be here waiting...impatiently. Like, tapping my fingers and toes waiting for it. But I'm here for all Foxbrooke stories if they're as laugh-out-loud funny as this one.”

I knew from the start that this book was going to be different, memorable, and unique... after all, it's not every story that begins with a woman in a red catsuit, leading a man on a leash around a family's major, now is it? 😅

Libby was a doll, and Lucas was an *ss. No, really...total BEHIND and a sorry excuse for a person. She was so out of his league, it's not even funny, but her improv routines, now those were a hoot! Watching her put her people skills into action was like poetry and the perfect balance to our unsuspecting, yet desperately in need of a life, Henry. Loved him to bits, even his aggressive/protective side, and his need to control things was self explanatory once you met his parents, but despite his lack of communicating clearly, he had a lot of love to give.

Beyond the potential couple, I rather liked the extremes the author explored and yet made the effort to show how they could still work together. Like with Henry... from the posh background, but with fairly wackadoodle parents, making his own way and steering clear into the next country to avoid the antics his folks get up to... and yet they still love him in their own way. Libby from the other side of the poshness with a heart the size of a small town, enthusiasm enough to carry an entire cheer squad, naive enough not to see the forest for the Henry, I mean, trees, and yet still able to square off with his Gram-Gram. Chalk and cheese... maybe but together they could be something special!

My only caution would be for potential readers to have an open mind, not easily embarrass or blush, and be prepared for all the innuendo...or even straight out TALK because there's definitely no shortage!

UGH THIS BOOK IS SOO GOOD! Name your favorite trope and it's in here: fake dating, grumpy/sunshine, class differences, just one bed, opposites attract, found family. Add in some classic Jane Austen parallels/fangirling and it's magic.

Stuffy City banker Henry Foxbrooke isn't actually stuffy, he just wants a life of control and order, which is the exact opposite of his family. Henry is due to inherit the family's estate and the title that comes with it, something he's been trying to avoid. But his 30th birthday is coming up and he needs to prove a point to the family. Enter Libby Fletcher, a sunny, punny cutie who runs corporate communication workshops as a sideline to her improv career. There's something about Libby that catches Henry's eye, but he's just not sure what it is. But Libby's quick on her feet, so when he offers her the improv gig of a lifetime, the timing couldn't be better: Libby is flat broke and with her improv partner home with a newborn, there won't be many gigs soon.

When Libby and Henry arrive at the estate for the birthday party, they're surrounded by the totally wild Foxbrooke clan. The family is intense but generally loving, and with Libby by his side, Henry can deal with all the dynamics.

We can all guess what happens over the course of the birthday visit, but the 3rd act twist and the HEA are AMAZING - I was laughing out loud in my apartment. It was all so clever and authentic to the characters. OH and it was SPICY, too.

This story is just so enjoyable. Funny, good pace, got to know the characters, the side characters made sense and weren't distracting/bogging down the story, and the setting of an English manor is just perfection. LOVE! Hope there are more to come about this crew.

The wider Foxbrooke family all made me laugh - particularly Arthur, mum and mammy. Estelle needs her own book - I think I know where her story is going and I cannot wait for the fallout!
I had no idea I would harbour Mr. Darcy fantasies till this book.
There is steam aplenty here, definitely not for the faint hearted but I love it! READ THIS BOOK!!

Evie, as always, hit it out of the park with this one! I always find myself belly laughing whenever I read one of her books, and Love ad Lib was no different. It has been so fun to jump into a new series and get all these wonderful new characters from her.

I love a good fake dating trope and this book did not disappoint. Libby was such a joy. I loved her sunshiny attitude and love for all things around her. It is my goal to go through life with that same positivity and joy. And poor our poor sweet workaholic Henry. I was rooting for him the entire time to find his happiness and place in the world. The spice and connection between them was top tier as always.

All the side character were hilarious and I truly can’t wait to get more of their stories. If you’re looking for a book that will make you spit out water laughing and turn you on in the same sitting, then Love ad Lib is definitely for you!

Thanks to Evie Alexander for an advanced copy of this book! All thoughts are my own.

Hilarious, witty, ridiculous (in the best way possible) and so, so much fun!!

I honestly didn’t know what to expect going into this as it was my first Evie Alexander book. It was AMAZING! I didn’t expect to laugh out loud and I didn’t expect the level of spice that was written in here. Evie herself narrated this book and I love it when authors do this.

Libby and Henry were beautiful characters. Their connection and chemistry was fire! 🔥 I loved Libby’s positive outlook and willingness to help her friends, even when they didn’t deserve it (I’m looking at you Lucas 👀). Henry was such a fierce protector of Libby, always trying to make her life as easy as possible.

The Foxbrooke family were absolute wack-a-doodles, but I want to be their friends. 😆 From the polyamorous parents, to the uptight Gram Gram, to Henry’s gassy twin sister, the entire family had me in stitches. And let’s not forget the grumpy cat Henry decides to name Mr. Pu$$y! Seriously, what’s not to love!! I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!

If you need a good laugh or something to put you in a good mood, read this book! It truly is a lot of fun!

Thank you NetGalley, Emlin Press and Evie Alexander for this audiobook. This is my voluntary, honest review.

💛 Bravo! What a performance 💛

By now, you might have realised that I love everything @eviealexanderauthor writes. So, when I found myself in a month long slump, there was only one thing for it, Love Ad Lib.

Henry, the eldest Foxbrooke son, works in the city & has never taken a girl home to meet his eclectic, embarrassing, but utterly charming family. But his birthday is coming up & it's time for a party.

Libby is sunshine, but life is trying its hardest to dull that glow. Then Henry, whose love life has taken another downward turn, offers her a lifeline - spend a weekend with him in Foxbrooke as his fake girlfriend. What could go wrong?

Hilarious, absorbing &, in typical Evie fashion, delightfully spicy. I defy you not to fall a little in love with Henry Foxbrooke.

The first in Evie's new series is brilliant & I can not wait to see what she has in store for the rest of the Foxbrooke siblings & their friends at the Manor.

I love the characters, they had me laughing out loud at times. I couldn't put the book down, I was so freaking eager to find out what happened next.

What I loved most about this book was the diverse romance. The author is definitely someone I would read more from in the future.

I received an Advance Review Copy of this book from BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Oh man was this book good. Love and Lib will draw you in right away due to the plot and the characters. Henry is a total cinnamon roll type of character, and Libby was so sweet and caring as well. This is the kind of book you will be thinking about long after you finish it. It will make you swoon, laugh, and fell all the emotions, not to mention the spice. It was so damn good that I will probably re-read this one again.

"Love ad Lib" is the first book from the 'Foxbrooke' series by Evie Alexander.
This novel was so much fun! One of the best of the grumpy sunshine tropes that I've read till now.
With tons of chemistry between the main leads and clear references to Pride and Prejudice this book was the perfect romcom.

Tropes:
- grumpy/sunshine
- fake relationship
- one bed
- steamy scenes

I highly recommend it!

Henry Foxbrooke is tired of his off the wall crazy family trying everything to marry him off. After lying about his fictional girlfriend, his family presses him to bring her back to the estate in Somerset for his 30th birthday celebrations. He decides to hire an actress to play the part and who better than Libby, an improv actress down on her luck and, hopefully, desperate for the money! But as time goes on they both realize they have real feelings for each other but are too scared to say anything. How could two opposites ever find love?
I thought this was a cute and funny story with a lot of quirky characters. I had a déjà vu moment when Henry's parents first appeared and then realized that I'd already enjoyed book 3 in the series. I enjoyed the narration all except the high squeaky imitation of Libby which was a bit irritating but over the course of the book I did get used to it.
I voluntarily listened and reviewed an advance copy of this audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
