He earned PhDs in both Philosophy and Literature from the University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and has won research fellowships in Oslo, Copenhagen, Munich, Paris and Vienna. He also has two BA's in Philosophy and European Studies and one MBA in American Studies. He is the recipient of 21 national and international prizes of literature and selections from his texts were translated into English, German, French and Portuguese. He has published 12 books in Romanian (four poetry collections, four philosophical studies, a collection of essays, a collection of aphorisms, and two fictional journals).
