4 Alpha Stars.
I usually a huge fan of Aurora’s books and despite this series not belonging to the same type she usually writes, I have to say that I’m really liking these novellas. It’s one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
Please note that my 4 star rating is precisely because I see these books as a delicious treat, not like a life changing book.
With a complexly over the top alpha hero, an innocent heroine and even more unrealistic plot, this sexy (SO sexy) and sweet little story will definitely make it worth your time.
Rating: 4 Stars. Can be read as a standalone.

Bossy, Sexy, Take what he wants Alpha. Hit my craving perfectly. Carter was hot and the right kind of bossy with sweet. Fern was perfect for him. Loved loved loved this quick scorching read.

Emotionally-pulling writing. Good romance/character development especially with 28yo lawyer H transforming from a manho to a OTT devoted man who only wanted just-turned-18yo high-school senior & his co-lawyer's grandaughter h forever. So he stopped texting/contacting his list of willing lovers and did what he could to earn her trust. He never acted possessive or jealous with any other woman. So, his alpha-dominance & possessive-claiming attitude was new to him & only for her. Loved how he waited for h to become more comfortable with him & to get to know him before he devirginized her, despite her spending every night in his bed with him for more than a week. He wanted her to know that he was there to protect/provide/care for her. Not to control her, although he was demanding when it came to her safety & well-being. He gave her the $15million that she lost from her conditional inheritance from her grandfather because he wanted her to marry him & have babies with him now instead of when she was over 25yo as stipulated. He made sure that that she knew there were no stipulations on the $15million so, whether she stays with H or not, it was hers because he wanted her to be provided for. It ensured that her choosing to be with him was out of her own free will & not out of feeling controlled by him or feeling obligated like what she was used to with her grandparents.
h was likable too. At first, she was naive/meek/quiet due to her strict upbringing. But she later became more outspoken & developed some sass, as she reveled in H's love for her. I thought it was funny how she responded to the emails H received from some of his former lovers, telling 1 of them to not be so desperate. Good overall romance. A little bit of suspense from h being abducted by her evil grandmother & later finding out that her mom may have been killed by her too. Hot sexual tension & detailed bareback sex scenes. Epilogue 1 year later & they've been married for that long (he married her 1 week before her high-school graduation coz he just couldn't wait to make her his wife) & have a baby girl. And more smexxing for more babies.

No mention of h dating anyone. Only her response that no one has seen her naked or touched her privates. H was a manho who had sex with many women in their city. Not sure how long he'd desired h but, once h turned 18yo, she was his only one & he stopped responding to his ex-lovers texts/emails.

The blurb does not steer you wrong - it’s an OTT alphahole
A heroine with no personality other than tears and sex noises (actually this gif is more animated than she is)
and the hero’s smutastic obsession based on I don’t know what, since there is barely a conversation had between them. Literally, no conversations that deal with anything remotely resembling reasons other than MUST. HAVE. NOW.
You’re right, you’re right, I’ll stop now. I got EXACTLY what I was expecting. No more, no less.
This is perfect for when you just want a bit of guilty pleasure reading. I felt a bit dirty afterwards, but I’m ok with that.

As is the case with many novellas I read, I wasn't able to engage with either of the characters in this book. It was just too short, with not enough insight into who they were or why the felt the way they did for one another. Unless it happened off the pages, I don't think these two actually knew each other before Carter set after Fern. And once he "got" her, there was no real "getting to know you" or conversations or interactions, other than sex. And, I'll admit I'm probably a bit of a prude, but the "still in high school" thing felt a little creepy!

I picked this up because I recognized Alfha Law in the title, and I remembered reading the first book (Justified by Aurora Rose Reynolds. (FYI-that couple isn’t in this one, Nolan is mentioned one time in passing).
This one is pretty much a smutty-ish, age-gap romance with an OBSESSED H and some drama-llama provided by family drama. The book opens with a 30-ish (he was 30 in the last book) Carter deciding to finally make his move on Fern because she is legal. Stuff happens that forces their relationship to move from 0 to 60 in a couple chapters which works (mostly) because the book is super short. It’s very OTT and unrealistic.
Bottom Line- This is written much like the first book with a very soapy/OTT tone.

Well that hit the spot! Perfect little breeding smut novella! Just a sweet little first love story about and older mans and a younger girl of 18. I for one am glad she had him because her crazy ass grandmother was sure to kill her. The only thing I would have loved is knowing what really happened to her mother. That would have made this a perfect read. However since this is an novella, you can't really expect novel closure. Great story. Loved it.

3.5 RATING- A fun little tale featuring an OTT alpha male and the barely legal schoolgirl he can't get enough of. This short story featured what a lot of Jordan Silver's books don't: decent writing. Definitely not to be taken too serious but overall, enjoyable. 100% ridiculous, guilty pleasure.

I love Aurora Rose Reynolds' alphas. There's just nothing quite like them. But the ones she's given her fans in this series are unbelievably more alpha and more dirty than in her Until series, and let me tell you, that's saying something.
This book is instalove, make no mistake. But sometimes there's something to be said for an all alpha male seeing what he wants, recognizing it as his, setting his sights on it and just totally conquering it. And that's just what happened here. There was no other option, no debate, no discussion. As far as Carter was concerned, Fern was his, no ifs, ands or buts about it.
This was a quick read, I got it done in a few hours. But it was red hot. This book wasn't about the chase or the relationship build up. Carter saw what he wanted, he took it and Fern went right along for the ride. It was exactly the kind of story I was in the mood for and it was delivered with all the fantastic dirty talking alpha-ness of an Aurora Rose Reynolds/CA Rose hero. Loved it!!

Over.The.Top. Can you say over the top? No? Well, when you look up the definition for the over-the-top, it will show you the cover of this book.
I seriously really liked it. This series is an acquired taste, and you really have to know what you're getting into. This isn't everyone's cup of tea - also not mine, and there were moments where I wanted to DNF. But no, despite its over-the-top-ness, it was enjoyable. Like this will almost literally never happen in real life - in the world that we live in, at least - and I think that's why it was more enjoyable than it ought to be. Seriously though - where the fuck was this guy - or any guy for that matter - when I was 18?

If you like an over the top alpha male who is older than the heroine then this one is for you. I like alpha males, but this one was a bit too much for me. I think I needed to understand his connection to the heroine better. I did not understand why Carter like the heroine so much. She barely spoke. I guess her beauty was everything. I guess I did not feel the connection. I did not understand his sudden obsession wit her. She was young 18 and he was 28.
