Gaby’s had it with “The Chelsea Show.” So she embarks on her own attention-seeking campaign, and claims the boy on a Survivor-type TV program for teens is her brother. At first this seems like the perfect getpopular- quick scheme. That is, until the boy wins the competition and is awarded the grand prize: a trip to Australia, leaving immediately, WITH HIS ENTIRE FAMILY!!! Forget popularity—unless Gaby figures out a way to convince her bunkmates that she’s on the next flight out to Australia, she’ll never be able to show her face at Lakeview again.

I liked this book because I could relate to Grace. My friends from my old school came over today and they told me so much about what happened there during the last year. Now I didn't feel 'left out' like Grace did when she came back to camp after missing the first week or so, but it did feel kind of weird.
I felt bad for Gaby, she went through so much just because she lied in order to fit in and attract 'positive attention'.
It was a good book. Not a favorite, but a good one :)

Gaby is tired of hearing about Chelsea's do called brush with death. At their camp, Camp Lakeview, Dr. Steve announces that they will be watching this reality tv show called Survivor Camp. To get more attention Gaby tells all her friends that one of the contestants, Jake, is her brother. She thinks nothing could go wrong but what if he wins? His whole family gets to go to Austrailia. This is a good book.

This is a good example of lazy writing. The entire book was recycled storylines from the previous books in the series, which is really sad considering this only book #15, and it’s the third book that’s blatantly recycling storylines. Some of the characters say things that directly contradict previous books, which maybe Morgan is trying to be clever or sarcastic, but it comes across as bad writing.

Side note: I’m so tired of seeing the same plot where two girls like one boy and the drama that follows: I know it’s meant for young audiences but it is not realistic that two girls like the same person about five different times. Boring.

Camp CONFIDENTIAL Reality Bites is about the girls in bunk 5A at Camp Lakeview. They all go through drama, fights, and lonley times. Grace likes this guy but so do Priya and Chelsea secretly like him too, this might be a problem but i can tell you if it does. Will gaby get into troble with her friends when she picks a boy on a TV show who is not likely to win. And she pickes her as her brother. Will Jake win? Will Gaby get in troble? Will Grace get the boy of her dreams? I rated this book 2 stars because it was not one of my favorites. I recomend this book to anyone who wants a ok romance/mystery book.
