He'd never met someone with such a bubbly personality. Not to mention the wildness and odd phrases she'd say every five minutes. He hates it. He hates how he can't stay away from it. He hates what she does to him; it's not like him to chase after some girl. She gets under his skin like no other.

She'd never met someone with such a bad attitude. He's ill-mannered and menacing. The glare never seems to leave his face. Considering it all, she can't help but feel the attraction toward him. Dangerous attraction toward a seemingly dangerous man. Maybe it's the tattoos on his arm that gets her attention. Or maybe it's because she can tell there's hope for good under his rough exterior. And she's about to find that, whether he likes it or not.

It's no secret that the two of them are complete and total opposites.

"You like being called Sugar, don't you?" I tease, placing my toothbrush back after finishing.

He does the same and gives me a side-eyed scowl.

He grips my chin harshly and kisses me. My body temperature raises a good ten degrees and my right leg goes all wiggly. He pulls away.

"You like it when I kiss you, don't you?" He teases the same way I did to him and I'm left blubbering.

"I think both of our questions are rhetorical," I lower my voice up at him. His lip curls up into a smirk.

Ashlyn Montgomery resides in Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Rhodes University, majoring in English Lit and International Relations, with a few years of journalism here and there. Currently she teaches English and History to learners in a small private Catholic school.

She adores the outdoors and embarks on hikes as often as she can. Miss Montgomery harbours a love for her continent, Africa, and its many eccentricities, its weather and its people. When she is not exploring her beautiful country or educating unruly children, she is daydreaming, indulging her love of a good wine, or annoying her family and friends. Of course, she adores reading and (obviously) writing.

Her heroes are dreamy and her heroines hopelessly swept away by the men in their lives. Inspired by romance and (mostly) the decadence of Regency England, Miss Montgomery loves to lose herself in scandalous liaisons and smouldering biceps, manipulating the time with humorous twists of her own.

3.5 STARS

Freaking finally, I completed 488 pages (200 skimming), and I'M DONE. It's my first-ever Wattpad book and ngl, it did give off Wattpad-y vibes. 😃

This book had zero plot, zero character development, and made no sense. But did I enjoy it? ABSOLUTELY! It had the cutest grumpy x sunshine dynamic and A LOT of fluff, and I was in the mood for some, so I loved every bit (until I started skimming). This book was just too full of random scenes, and then it ended with a wedding. 😮‍💨

╰┈➤ Azalea 'Lilah' Carson:

Not gonna lie, she was shown as a bubbly character, but I kid you not, no one thinks the way she does. Even when I'm sleep-deprived and literally acting like a clown, it's safe to say I'm 99.9% better. Her POV gave me second-hand embarrassment, and the level of confidence she had was DAMN! 🫡

I didn't hate her or get annoyed by her! Yes, she was blabbing throughout this whole book, but I'm glad she wasn't a doormat, as I assumed! She actually gave the grumpy Grey a run for his money and made him quite smitten with her. But, her character wasn't interesting.

I just hated the way her inner monologue was written. She kept on checking out other people's 'butt' or used words like tinkle (for the toilet), fudge, goodies (for boobs and ass), and constantly 'THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID. STOP.' (whenever she used the word 'hard'). All of this was so CRINGE that I couldn't stand it. Also, not her using the word POTTY and not SHIT ???? 😭

I think her trauma isn't dealt with greatly in this book because she was abused so badly and got beaten by her father for almost a year with a belt just because he blamed her for the death of her brother — in an accident where she was with him. Her mother did nothing, but she still forgives her in the end! Why? Because she still thinks it's her fault that her mother was in grief and became an alcoholic!

╰┈➤ Grey Kingston:

I imagined him as so hot with all those tattoos and black T-shirts 🥵 Umm, so he was an actual adult who's sane and responsible! I really liked him though! He's the head of an individual organization that catches sex traffickers and saves girls and children, so that's REALLY GOOD! lol.

Also, he had a tough childhood with no mother or any relatives, and he shared all of this with Lilah. Even though he was mean at the start, he started coming along and being soft and gentle towards her again. He began talking to her gently, doing things to make her happy, spending time with her, hugging her, and giving her forehead kisses! He actually did a lot of cute things, LIKE A LOT, and I LOVE EACH OF THEM! His words were super cute, and not gonna lie, Grey was actually so cute and soft, ughhhhh, I love him 🥺

He was moody as hell but he was seriously a ROMANTIC! 💖 HE WORE HER SCRUNCHIE IN HIS HAND 🥺

╰┈➤ Final Thoughts:

• I didn't have many expectations, so I wasn't disappointed! I actually enjoyed reading it because the scenes were cute and it had all the right elements. The only reason for 3 stars is just because of the cute scenes!

• Azalea's POV will give NOT ONLY ME but anyone a lot of embarrassment! I MEAN A LOTTTTTT! So be ready for that, lol. I actually had a whole review planned on how I would roast her, but I'll just leave it at that because she already suffered enough. It must be hard to live with zero brain cells!

• The plot wasn't really plotting because it was nonexistent! The smut? NAH, WHERE WAS IT? I just contented myself with those gentle touches and kisses, so YAYA.

╰┈➤ A lil quotes:

❝You're sure you want to fall in love with me?❞
❝I'm already too far into it, and I'm not slowing down anytime soon.❞

❝I find myself getting excited. Excited for a fucking hug. I bend and her arms wrap around my neck. I stand straight up and her legs dangle.❞

❝For some reason, I think about actually putting one (bulletproof jacket) on. Why? I've never put one on before. 'I'll see you later, Grey.'

❝And so what if you're unlucky? I'm lucky as fuck, I've got enough luck for the both of us.❞

❝The way you make me feel. The fact that you're the only person I'd ever want to be with. The way I'm always thinking about you. I'd do anything for you.❞

❝Please don't cry, I don't like it when you cry.❞

❝I'm learning. I watch the ways she talks to me and I try my hardest to mimic the softness.❞

Ok so the main character scares me, I can’t picture her as an adult because she acts like a 12 year old child (which just threw everything off for me). There was no plot, half of Greys vocabulary is f*ck, and the only reason I finished this is because I’m incapable of dnfing a book.

I genuinely feel like I’m going insane because this has an overall rating of about 4.5 stars and I seriously cannot even begin to comprehend HOW in the world that came to be.

Ok, so in a typical romance novel, there are a series of character traits that the main character usually has: short, immature, “conservative,” clueless, hyper/energetic, etc. Now a few of these traits in a main character is fine, like if you want your main character to not like to say curse words and be short? Go for it. However, when you have all of these traits in one character, you know what you have: a 7-year-old child. THE MAIN CHARACTER LITERALLY SAYS THAT SHE WANTS TO “TINKLE” INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE BATHROOM. Now, again this would be “tolerable” if this was the only flaw, however she acts like a literal 5-year-old all the time and I couldn’t handle it. I got so uncomfortable because I imagined her as like a child and Grey to be an actual adult, and it was just so nasty. I genuinely cannot understand why very few people have brought this up. I don’t even remember anything else about the story because that the character made me so uncomfortable and angry.

honestly going into this book, i hoped it would live up to all the "tiktok hype" everyone has for this book and quiet frankly this book was such a disappointment.

I did really enjoy all the other characters but the author portrayed azalea (lillah) to act like she was a literal child and she seemed so annoying at times. Like some of her terms used i did not get, also she has a way of not communicating her properly so it was a lot of misscommunication and there was very little to no smutt in this book whatsoever (but thanks to the smutt commenters tho ps. ily<3). Also yes lilah is supposed to have gone through traumatic incidents but trauma is supposed to make you more mature and "funny" inna sense .I also did not like the fact when bith mc meet, he already knew of her and they kinda just went straight from "kinda strangers to lovers to miscommunication and hurt to back again lovers" it did not have any build to it whatsoever and yes i know its supposed to be an "innocent" type of love but i honestly it did not give what it was meant for and i hated this book so much with a burning passion.3

I feel like I read an entirely different book than everyone else who reviewed this. I'm all for Wattpad books, but this was... not good? It had a bunch of tropes that I like but the writing sounds like it came from a 14-year-old in 2011.

if a sunshine character went up to me and said the word tinkle, i would run the other way. just because she is a sunshine character doesn’t mean she has to have the mental capacity of a toddler and there was no plot at all. it’s not even written well either and without you is even worse. i truly don’t understand how anyone can read this and call it good writing

(I'm beginning to realize that maybe I have it too high of a rating but like- am I productive enough to lower it-)

#6 Twelve days of reviews (#cackling at 4:30 in the morning)

This is a book you can't read silently.

Rating: 🪦🪦🪦🪦4.3

Whether be it strangling your pillows and them screaming for help, or spending hours scrolling through Wattpad comments, slowly yet falling in love in a blink of an eye (screaming like a banshee on top of that-) There's going to be some noise of some kind. At least there was for me.

Y'ALL, I GOT ATTACHED TO THE COMMENTERS TOO, WHAT THE HECK-

I've read Wattpad books before, yes siree.
I've fangirled over Wattpad books before, no questions there.
But have I squealed while simultaneously trying to clench my jaw shut because the rays of light were already peeking through the curtains, and I was still so invested in the story I couldn't breathe without it coming to mind?

I think the absolutely pecking heck not.

I think you really have to be in the mood to read a book like this. Crave a violent book with mafia under vibes? Probably not the book (although there are some low key vibes like that- stop) (if you get that reference, I love you). I was looking for something to invest my time in, swoon till I was 7 feet deep and feel lonelier than I've ever felt in my 56789 years of existence.

And I found all of that within this story.

*proceeds to quietly run across a mountain without parachute on*

Starting with the plot, as per usual. There wasn't really any.
Now, there wasn't a plot, but there was a loose, very undefined trajectory of events that I would die for.
And kill for.
Possibly blackmail for too.
Elon Musk, I'm looking at you through the sniper scope right now-

The story progressed rather quickly and with a Wattpad book, you can't really look too deeply into that because if the book hooks you, then it stays. If it doesn't, there are other millions to binge at the wee hours of the morning.
And for me? It was physically impossible to put the book down.
Call it my fantastic urge to torture myself with something I'LL NEVER HAVE, or even how entertaining the book turned out to be, but I was there.

As were the comments and they senttt meeee. I'll say hi to Jake for y'all. *wink*

The basic story points were,
Point A, jump to point A.2, slide to point A.3 and glide to point D, no go back to point B.2-

Yes, that totally made sense.

My feelings were all over the place too. I cried, I would laugh, I would then scream in frustration in my head, then calm down and swoon, sweat buckets of tears, sweat buckets of actual sweat and on and on it went.

Then we have the writing, lads and gentads (???) The grammar doesn't matter here, pfft. I would say that I loved it, simply and without any sort of thinking beforehand (which I'll probably regret as soon as I finish stuffing my cheeks with needles and repeating 'THEY'RE SO CUUUTE, AREN'T THEY') Yes, it was 'quirky', at times it was a bit repetitive and sometimes a bit much. But really? I was into that ish.

And the tension was written so well, hold my chicken toaster y'all-

How it sizzled, I tell you! The tension, not the chicken. When I'm reading a romantic book, I don't need to know that many details of all the Dr. Get-to-intimately-know-you moments, so I feel extremely happy when the tension is just God blessed glorious!

Dang it, I want to read it all over again-

The best thing of the whole book were the characters. And they were lots and lots of clichés, but I didn't bring myself to hate them and couldn't wish their death every page they were mentioned.

There was the 19-year-old weird girl with a harsh background yet retained a wild, carefree personality. (also acts like a toddler from time to time, but I love her so yeah. I'll be biased just this once)

The older man who's her love interest. Damaged, rough, couldn't care less (unless you mess with not-like-other-girls MC.), had a horrible attitude (*smirk*), had shady dealings (*another smirk*) and frankly, was an overall donkey with good looks and amazing pecs.

Oh! And did I forget to mention she doesn't curse at all, but he could raise hell with his potty mouth? Oh, silly me.

Then we have the incredible friend group that I would love to strangle lovingly to death (yes, I did adore them), the adorable friend, the hot mess friend, the sassy friend.

Basically, a lot of clichés (that against my better judgment burrowed into a crevice of my heart) that just made sense in this book!

Taking for example the MC, Azalea, AKA Lilah. Aka the girl who literally doesn't know what a guy means when he says uh... hm... good things... Yeah, I'll stop there with that. She was strong, and a bloody ray of sunshine! I loved her personality (half of it, since the other half was basically the previous half on steroids and Cool Aid), enjoyed watching her quarrel with everyone and um... *slight flipping hair* We're the same height, teehee. She weighs probably 30 pounds less, but who's counting??

Although yes, I would've loved hitting her with a train sometimes:

Like, babe, why would you give my man a heart attack????
Seriously, come here Grey, I'll cure your heart with a gentle bleaching of the soul.

Oh, speaking of Grey. He was just amazing. Of course, he had issues, of course he had to be put in his place, but my goodness did I love the guy. He made my heart palpitate, the pressure in my head increase, my heartache intensify... all symptoms of a possible heart attack. See what you did, Grey? You almost killed me.

Now who would save you from Lilah the lovable crackhead?

The relationship deserves a whole flipping star made of marshmallows.
I am indeed getting ready to plug in the stove in the rain.
What else should I be doing?

Their banter was perfection.
Their kisses left me open-mouthed and bamboozled.
Their 'he's my b-word' moments that Azalea literally said were completely the cause of Booksy's breathe death.
AND WHEN WILL IT BE MY TURN Y'ALL.
ZEUS, I'M STILL WAITING.
THE HECK ARE YOU DOING UP THERE-
FRYING MY TEARS TO MAKE SOUP OR SOMETHING.

On a closing note, this took me two days to fangirl my way through. I've officially banned myself from Wattpad comments because what's left of my innocence is nonexistent and that's probably the cause (y'all are so lonely, hold up, let me join-) Even though the plot was chilling with Pluto, I saw my babies grow into their love and get their HEA, read through heartbreaking moments and swooned under the covers when the sizzleness was too much to handle.

Frankly, I feel like this is one of the best smexy rom com books I've read in a while.

I'm going to go and plug my hair into an electricity tower now, thank you very much.

...................

I am in shock. I am in pain.
I cannot function.
I feel incredibly lonely, which is kind of dumb.

Even though it wasn't perfect (I'm sure I'll be lowering my rating once I rationalize what my messy emotions are trying to say to me) I loved it so much.

Also, the Wattpad commenters made my day AND I GOT ATTACHED GOSHDARNIT-

I'll see you later, gotta cry my internal organs out.

.......................

That wonderful moment you realize you're trash for quirky girl, bad boy romances...

It changes everything.

this book was so hyped on tiktok and i was so disappointed reading it. lilah was way too childish in my opinion and she acted like a 5 year old. i get it was her trauma but she was acting too immature and grey liking her just gave me pedophile vibes. i liked the trope but i was not comfortable reading this book. if i could give it 0 stars i would.

I'm sorry but I really don't get the hype. I was expecting a lot more from this book but was unfortunately, disappointed. I was this close to DNFing but I changed my mind and just skip a couple of chapters and skim through the epilogue. I felt like the fmc was pretty immature and this book could have been written in a better way. To be fair, it does have potential since I found the characters and their story to be cute but, like I said before, it needs work. And before y'all come for me...I have nothing against the author personally, I'm just stating my opinion :)

This book was a little too immature for me. I didn’t hate it at all. I just didn’t really enjoy it. As a older teenager I think it’s personally for a younger age.

I also felt a lot of sibling/friend vibes with her and grey... idk.

(1.5) THAT was what all the hype is about ?? i lost like 28 brain cells reading this shit

if you like this book please do not read ahead bc i’m abt to be such a little bitch

the main character was insufferable, lowkey manipulative, and just SO FUCKING ANNOYING. she purposely worded things incorrectly so they sounded worse than they were (like when she told grey she slept with someone else but she meant literally just sleeping in the same bed) and then acted all confused when the other person assumed the worst. she was innocent and naive but for the most part she was just fucking stupid. she was also one of those quirky mc’s that just went on about absolutely nothing and said completely random shit.

speaking of, there was NO PLOT. the ‘plot’ was that her brother died and her parents hit her, but that was all resolved by like chapter 20 and there were 45 chapters overall so the rest was filled with meaningless conversations and interactions which gave me the ick.

it wasn’t all completely terrible, there were some cute moments w grey and lilah and i loved greys group of guys and abby but i think there was just absolutely nothing going on😭

i get it was a wattpad book but with 60 million reads and a bunch of positive reviews i would’ve expected better writing. it was truly awful.

the only reason this gets a full star and a half was for jai linc theo oaklee and the rest. the comments also contributed to the rating. i now know hundreds of random peoples numbers, passwords, years of birth, parents age gaps, and cup sizes !!

two days i will never get back. it was tolerable ig but also i’m so glad it’s over.

Why do people even hype this up?
1. There was literally no plot (ok, their traumas were explored and solved but I was still expecting something bigger. We didn’t even get a plot twist)
2. Lilah annoyed the shit out of me. I can’t picture a person who acts like a 5 year old in every single thing she does. She didn’t even let Grey say that he “peed”, because, apparently, that’s not appropriate. Also, she’s too naive and innocent, I honestly can’t figure out how she’s surviving university and actual adulthood.
3. Everything was solved too easily. What even happened to her father? Why wasn’t there any kind of talking afterwards? What about her mother? Also, I wish we had gotten more about how was the relationship between Jake and the boys. I didn’t get the closure I needed.
4. Grey is constantly cursing. Like, that shouldn’t be a huge problem but it didn’t even feel genuine or spontaneous. It was just another piece of his bad boy reputation.
5. By the end, at least for me, it got too tiring because nothing was happeninf but the book was not finished yet. Literally, I feel like the book could be reduced to half of it.
6. The fillers were kind of unnecessary, I guess. I don’t think they added a lot to the lack of plot or to the characters’ relationships.

Overall, I started reading this book with too many expectations but even if I didn’t, I’d still be as disappointed.

I’m sorry but this book was awful…. It was so hard to finish I had to skip the chapters to get through it. I should have DNF, but I hate not finishing books so I did what I could to finish. The writing was so young and azalea was way too childish for my liking. There wasn’t any strong plot, it was mostly just pointless scenes every chapter. I do not recommend 😭 it was so bad

I think the cover for this book is really cute.

I was wondering why the book was called Lilah when the girls name is Azalea. Lilah is Grey’s nickname for her.

The book is told in dual pov but most of the book is told in Azalea’s pov.

Recently, I’ve been seeing other Goodreaders reading this book and loving it. Apparently, the book has become big on TikTok. I guess there is a lot of hype around this book. I think the book lived up to all the hype(at least it did for me). People have been gushing about this couple being so cute and wholesome. I think Grey/Azalea are one of the cutest couples ever and wholesome yet not. I think they were the best thing to ever happen to each other. I do want to warn that there is some heavy stuff in the bookI thought the beginning was a little intense to read. The author does give a warning.

Trigger Warnings:

It took me like three times as long to read the book because I kept looking at the Wattpad comments while reading. It’s was entertaining reading some comments.

Azalea Deliah Carsen (Lilah) (h) 19: She has been through some bad stuff in her life. Lilah’s home life is really sad. She is so precious that you just want to protect her.

Lilah’s parents were terrible: I loathe Lilah’s father with the fire of a thousand suns.

Even though Lilah goes through a lot, she tries to put on a happy face because she doesn’t want other people to be sad. Lilah can be very scatter brained and in her own little world. She has no filter and just blurts out what’s on her mind without thinking. The stuff that comes out of her mouth is hilarious. I felt embarrassed for her. I would just shake my head. That is just how Lilah is and she is one of a kind. The girl loves to talk about drugs even though she would never do drugs. When she get nervous or tries to change the subject just blurts stuff out like sex (even though she hasn’t done that either).

description

A Side Note: When I was in elementary school one of the teachers used to play this song for the class called “You Talk Too Much” by: Joe Jones. I thought back to that song when reading about Lilah.

She is one of the kindest people ever. It’s so sad because Lilah only has one friend Mr. Terrip. He is a man that is in his 70’s that is the owner of Lilah’s favorite bookstore. Their relationship is so heartwarming. I love Mr. Terrip! All Lilah wants is to make some friends because she has never really had any friends. People used to bully her at school. Sadly, Lilah is just used to being ignored, so she tries not to let it get to her. She says “at least she has herself to cheer her up”.  I’d be her friend (I’d be stressed though). She would be a great friend. I would have to have a talk with her about not being so trusting.

Lilah grew up sheltered so she has this childlike innocence to her and is really naïve. It gave me anxiety throughout the book because I worried about her well being. At times, she lacks common sense. The girl is like a dog that is so excited to meet new people.

"Her common sense is sh*t but at least she's school-smart."~ Grey about Azeala(Lilah)

This gif below made me think of Lilah with her naive nature.

Lilah’s “Meet Cute” with Grey or not so cute was different. It’s an example of her lacking some common sense.

Milkshakes: Lilah loves cookies n’ crème milkshakes. Although, I think it only mentions Lilah drinking a milkshake maybe twice in the book.

description

A Side Note: The Milkshake song by Kellis popped into my head while reading this book. I wish there would have been a scene where Lilah and Grey go to get Milkshakes and the song comes on and Lilah starts to sing the song.

Grey Alexander Kingston aka Sugar, Herb, crack head, Silver etc… (H) 24 turns 25: There is a 6 year age difference between Grey and Lilah. Grey is the opposite of Lilah. He’s a grumpy guy. I think he is one of those unicorn book boyfriends. I think he is one of those dream guys. Now he wasn’t perfect. Things didn’t get off to a great start with Grey and Lilah because Grey was rude to her. He had his reasons but it doesn’t excuse his rude behavior. The guy has a booty that Lilah loves to smack. Grey does swear a lot. The guy is really horny hornish when it comes to LiIah. He always talks about wanting to sleep with her. Lilah is so innocent that his innuendos just go right over her head most of the time. The man is only sweet for Lilah.

Lilah calls him her Sugar: “ Whenever I’m upset, I turn to ice cream. It makes me feel better, He’s starting to give me the same feeling. He’s the ice cream to my Sugar. He best learn to deal with me calling him that.”~Lilah about Grey

Another side note: I think Sugar by Maroon 5 a good song for Grey.

Relationship:

As I mentioned before, I thought Grey and Lilah were one of the cutest couples ever. For the most part, I thought it was a healthy relationship. There were a lot of sweet moments. I loved their hugs and forhead/cheek kisses.

The Scrunchies:

Sour Patch Kids: It mentions Lilah eating Sour Patch Kids. I never had Sour Patch Kids so I bought some. The candy was pretty good.

Neither of them has been in a relationship before. Lilah is a virgin. She was only kissed by one guy in the past during a game of truth or dare. She said it was just a peck on the mouth. Grey wasn’t a manwhore. He did mention that in the past he had occasional one night stands. Grey isn’t with any women after meeting Lilah. He only has eyes for Lilah.

I like that even though there were misunderstanding, it was cleared up fast. If they were ignoring each other, the other person would say let’s talk about it. For the most part, they didn’t allow things to keep building.

Grey didn’t grow up with women in his life, so this is all new to him. It is a learning curve for him but he tries. I thought there was good character growth for him. It’s new to both of them.

I give Grey an A++ when it comes to apologizing (Well not in the beginning). Grey is not too proud to admit when he is wrong and not to proud to beg. I’m glad that Lilah would call Grey out when he was being rude. As the story progresses, Lilah gains more of a sense of self worth so she knows how she deserves to be treated. Liliah isn’t going to settle for anything less than the best. Grey is the best.

At times, they do act like children. Lilah can be very childlike. Sometimes Grey can act like a man child. He also acts like a grandma worrying about whether Lilah is eating enough. I think it’s sweet how he always puts his hand on her tummy to see if she is hungry.

Grey was all about consent. Lilah wanted to take things slow. He didn’t push her for more than she was willing to give. He just said, “Whatever you want”. I like that he would asks her if she was “good”. She would always ask him if he was okay.

Lilah was a smart cookie when it came to getting her way with Grey. Grey was whipped and he didn’t mind.

At times, Grey did get jealous. However, it wasn’t over the top boarder line psychotic jealousy. I thought Grey’s jealousy was cute. Also, I feel that Grey’s jealously was understandable. Like I said, Lilah is very sweet and friendly. She just wants to make some friends. She doesn’t understand that sometimes her friendliness can be misconstrued as flirting when comes to guys. They end up having a talk about it. Lilah might just give poor Grey a heart attack one of these days and put him in an early grave. He has lot of patience.

OW/OM drama: There is no cheating in the book. There is a little bit of OM/OW drama. Grey and Lilah aren’t interested in the other people. Grey would never cheat on Lilah. He only has eyes for Lilah after he meets her. Lilah would never cheat either. She thinks cheaters are “the worst of the worst”.

Separation:

Grey’s coworkers : I loved all the guys that worked with Grey.!!!!! Jai, Theo, Lincoln “Linc”, Oaklee Sanfred, Maxon, Roman. Even Jonas aka “small peepee head” grew on me. Oh and Dr. Weiner. I loved how protective and loyal they were to Lilah. It was really sweet to see and I adore them all. It was so heartwarming to see Lilah have friends and people that adored her. It reminded me a little of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and how they ended up loving Snow White.

I was happy to see Lilah finally make a female friend! Abby was awesome. I admit at first, I was a little suspicious of her . I was always expecting the worst in this book. I wish we could have seen more of Abby and Roman together and them going on a double date. I wouldn’t mind a short story with them.

I was annoyed at the beginning of the last chapter, so much so that I considered deducting a star.

There was an epilogue and I really like it. However, I do wish that there had been a second epilogue that skipped ahead 5 or 6 years to them having a child. Imagine how he would be if she was prego? The guys hand would be glued to her stomach.. It would be sweet if they have a son The author said that she is not going to write a sequel or bonus scenes. I’m perfectly fine with they’re not being a sequel for Grey/Lilah. I always get nervous when authors decide to write a sequel for a couple. I wouldn’t mind the side characters getting stories bc I love Grey’s friends.

Currently, the story is just available on Wattpad. It's free to read!

WATTPAD book and a very young author.
Grumpy Sunshine at its best

I will admit it took me the first 25% to really get a feel for and like the characters and get past the clunky writing. It was off putting for sure but then the flow gets better.
But it was sooo worth pushing through cause this was sooooo sweeeet and enduring. The relationship between the H and h was feeding my soul.

‼️Be prepared the H is very mean the h and pushes her away for the fist part of the book. It doesn’t last a real long time and he has reasons.
THIS IS NOT A BULLY BOOK OR REDEMPTION BOOK so it doesn’t last and it’s not to much.

‼️So there’s not a lot of plot some but not much it’s very character driven and relationship driven.

😭h is abused by her father really bad. Her brother died in a car accident that she and her parents blame her for. It’s very sad.

I loved this couple so much.❤️❤️
The H is freaking so obsessed and possessive and OTT JP it was such a joy to read. ❤️❤️

The h had weird quirks that took me a while to like but eventually as their relationship progressed I liked how she was more and more.

The❤️💯 gravy is their relationship and their dynamic.
It was amazing and unique. I couldn’t get enough.

Safe
H 25yr
h 19 and Virgin with ZERO EXPERIENCE SHE WAS NEVER EVEN KISSED. It kinda makes sense here.

‼️H is NOT a manwhore. It says he DIDN’T have a girl every night but he had OCCASIONAL hookups.
He wasn’t a people person and he was rude and mean and very standoffish. He HATED being touch by everyone but the h. So yes he had experience but I don’t think he had hooked up a lot. Maybe once very few months. If that. He’s just a regular dude.
He NEVER had a relationship or GF. He NEVER had love ever for anyone. He NEVER had a woman at his house or private space. He just had random hookups when the need and opportunity arose.

OMD- men always flirt w h and H is beyond jealous and acts out 🤭
OWD- a coworker hits on him multiple times and he is always quick to shut her down.
OWD- at a club OW hits on H and he walks off without responding

❤️H is all about the h and only has eyes for her. He is celibate after meeting her. No talks of his recent past.

‼️There is a misunderstanding where the h thinks he was kissing or fucking OW in the same spot that they have their first kiss. She thinks this for a while. We find out later it was just a stupid drunk girl that hit on him but he kicked her out and never touched this girl. It was before they met I think.
