Never Seduce a Scot (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs, #1)

This was pleasant enough but nothing too memorable.
There were parts to this that were so sweet and the romance was really tender, but the story as a whole was quite fast paced. Which I liked. It was so easy to read and binge the story. But at the same time, I would’ve liked for it to slow down just so that we had more time with the characters. Mainly to have them converse so they could get to know each other.
I think as a reader I got to know them on an individual level, but I don’t know if the characters ever did. It felt somewhat surface level? But it also didn’t?
The focus was on the plot and I would’ve liked to have seen the process of the two love interests actually falling for each other, despite the fact that things were so tense between their two clans. They overcame a lifetime of animosity between them quite quickly and I just wasn’t convinced.
It appreciated the deaf representation and how safe Eveline felt with Graeme.
But I’m in two minds about this. It was bloody sweet, but something was missing for me. It wasn’t fleshed out enough for my liking. I needed more substance.
