im not exaggerating when i say literally nothing happens in this.
its filler, and its not even entertaining filler. which is the worst.
the writing is repetitive, the plot is meandering, the character development is nonexistent, and ive lost all interest in this series. which is such a bummer because it started off so strongly.
so i definitely recommend the first book, ‘what lies behind the veil,’ and the second book is worth reading, but this latest installment is undortunately not.

How disappointing! I was feeling that way about the second book too :(

I felt like the second book was plot-less meandering too. But decided to give this one a try, HOPING something good would happen... but nope. There's no end in sight and I give up on this series, too.
I had to DNF this sadly, even though I felt the same way about the first two!

Agreed. What was the point of this book when literally nothing happened? The story did not move forward at all. The first two were so promising and then this. Sigh.
I DNF this book. What happen to the God of winter! I couldn't with his behavior, so unattractive.
I agree, this was so repetitive, just the cliffhanger at the end got back my atention.
Nooooo the bones of this series is so good but the second book was so repetitive that I can’t imagine another book of the same thing 😭
