We’ve pushed Hark hard for 4 years. In pilot studies at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust we’ve shown it can improve information transfer within clinical teams in 22 out of 24 key areas of your hospital. Our tests also prove Hark response times are 37% quicker than a pager.
Hark knows exactly who you are and what you do. Ward-based staff, doctors on the move, shift coordinators, hospital managers – you all require individual information all the time. Hark uses people-centric, context-specific interfaces via mobile. So, over time each person builds up a personal interface, adaptable to any site, need or patient.
Hark is new, yet compatible. It uses the latest security technology and has built in information governance since day one. Hark can work seamlessly with EHR systems such as Cerner.
We put together a multidisciplinary team at Imperial College London to see what would happen. Professor Ara Darzi and Dr Dominic King, academic surgeons at Imperial who both work in the NHS, have led the project. Hark is the result of years of groundbreaking R & D in the hope we could make a difference to the world we work in.
