- In 1958, during the Cold War, two scientists, two worlds, and two ideologies faced a race for survival at the Vinca Scientific Institute near Belgrade.
- The action series takes place in Belgrade at the present time. Aleksandar Jakovljevic (Vuk Kostic), a young but experienced inspector, gets his first big case: the murder of the daughter of a reputable building contractor.Parallel to the development of the investigation, which goes in several directions, Aleksandar is torn between two woman working with him on the case: young forensic scientist Jelena, with whom he's secretly in love; and public prosecutor Marija, with whom he's having an affair. He reveals that the death of his former-police-inspector father is in some mysterious way connected with the death of innocent girls. Completely alone in the fight for the truth, he risks his own life.

It is a sequel to the Crni Gruja series. Three pilot episodes were shown on December 21, 22 and 23, 2021, on the Nova S channel.
