Monica's Mixing Bowl is a children's series that empowers families with knowledge about nutrition, allergies, and dietary restrictions through narrative, puppets, and song. Let's make friends with food. Monica moves from Maine to NYC to attend culinary school while helping her brother Charlie raise his 3 kids (Colby, Pepper, and Cherry) in their grandparents' old brownstone. Monica loves to bake food everyone can enjoy (especially because Pepper has a gluten allergy) in the very same kitchen where her Gran used to bake. (While Gran was in the kitchen, Pop Pop was doing magic tricks in his garden - and their love seems to have left some real magic behind!) Meanwhile, Charlie flies around the world and sends back "postcards" with facts and recipes for Monica to try from cultures near and far. Through making friends with food, Colby, Pepper, and Cherry learn not only about food, nutrition, and the chemistry/math of cooking, but also about how to be the best kids they can be through tolerance and understanding of those around them.

When her "Cone of Shame" gets in the way of a family trip to the beach, Zoe the dog is left at home where she discovers her little human left a gift in the most unlikely of places.
