Her mother, Pamela Hackeman, is also a make-up artist and has been teaching make-up for several years now at Make-up Designory in Burbank. Teal has been working with make-up since age 15 when she started working in the cosmetics department at Nordstroms in San Francisco. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1998, she has worked with photographers and directors such as David LaChappelle, Michel Comte, and Joseph Kahn.
