I act because it gives me the chance to absorb someone else's story and uniquely explore what it might mean to experience life from their perspective. When an actor tells someone's story, we also offer audience members an opportunity to take notice of other human beings as they observe, connect and identify with the characters we portray. Noticing someone in this way generates a powerful connection to humanity. A deeper understanding of our sister and brother makes us kinder people who have more positive interactions and healthier relationships with one another. We display a kind of love that makes God smile down on us.
