Christine: As you all know, Vanessa is new to the show and Vanessa, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
Vanessa: There is something I wanted to ask you.
Christine: Sure?
Vanessa: How do they make that slime they're always dumping on you?
Christine: First they take some liquid and then they add some jello powder and some flour. Sometimes some soap and they dump it all over me.
Vanessa: Where do they dump it from?
Christine: Actually Vanessa, I've always wondered that too, but I just don't know.
[green slime falls on Christine's head]
Vanessa: Interesting. Is it always green like this?
Christine: Well, yeah it usually is, but I guess it could be red.
[red slime drops on Christine's head]
Christine: Or... it could be blue.
[blue slime drops on Christine's head]
Christine: [getting annoyed] Or yellow.
[yellow slime drops on Christine's head]
Christine: Yep... Okay, you guys think you're so smart? Let's see stripes.
[red, yellow, and blue slime falls on Christine's head]
Vanessa: Boy, must be tough being a TV star. By the way, how do you get this stuff out?
Christine: Well, it usually washes out with water.
[water falls on Christine's head]
Christine: Usually.
- Curiosità sui creditiIn the end credits of several shows in the mid-1980s, the following text is seen: "Christine McGlade takes no responsibility for any clothes in which she appears."
- Versioni alternativeFrom 1979 to 1981, parts of the show were done live, with the comedy sketches being pre-taped. Some of the features of the live version of the show included musical guests, contests, phone in's, and "Roving Camera" scenes featuring kids in popular hangout spots telling jokes or airing complaints about life, among others. When Nickelodeon started airing the episodes, none of the 1979 episodes remained, however all of the 1981 episodes did. Nickelodeon's editors opted to remove everything but the comedy sketches and the "Roving Camera" segments. This cut the episodes to under 30 minutes, instead of the original one hour running time.

The comedy of Les Lye as Barth serving burgers or handy man Ross is priceless or the endless bad jokes that somehow were funny.
I'll always remember catch phases like "I head that" or if one of the crew said I don't know they would get slimed.
Recently VH1 did a I Love the 80's 3D and they did cover You Can't Do That on Television.
I wish they would put all the episodes on DVD, so my kids could watch it.
