- QuizAccording to an interview with Jim Carrey, he says that the gag of Fletcher chasing his son as "The Claw" was something Carrey's father did to him and his siblings.
- BlooperFletcher is unable to come up with an honest argument for a continuance. However, having been brought onto the case just a day or two before trial is a perfectly valid reason. His ignorance of the settlement offer is itself evidence that he needs more time to look at the case file.
- Citazioni
Greta: He knocked over another ATM. This time at knifepoint. He needs your legal advice.
Fletcher Reede: [picking up phone and shouting] Stop breaking the law, asshole!
- Curiosità sui creditiOuttakes are shown during the credits.
- Versioni alternativeRandall 'Tex' Cobb's role ("Skull") was considerably shortened prior to release.
- Originally filmed was a courtroom prologue where Fletcher successfully defends Skull using his usual, less-than-truthful tactics. Remnants of it still remain in the theatrical trailers and in full as a 'Deleted Scene' on the DVD/Blu-ray releases.
- Also filmed was a sequence where Fletcher meets Skull again in jail. That scene was shortened in the final version so much that, despite a prominent billing, Cobb only has one line.

Recensione in evidenza
Jim Carrey is an attorney, who finds putting his family before his work to be a tough challenge, when he fails to show up at his son's birthday party; his son make a wish that prevents him from lying. With a huge career changing case that is based solely on lies about to go to trial, he is stuck in an unfamiliar position, that may just change his life.
Jim Carrey is on top form for this one, giving one of his most hilarious performances to date, he is well supported by the likes of Jennifer Tilly, Swoosie Kurtz and Amanda Donohue, and the winning concept of the movies theme realises its potential.
7/10 Great fun
