Although not as bad as a couple years ago, the 2003 Filmfare Awards was not anywhere close to what it was last year. First of all, Archana Puran Singh makes an absolutely terrible MC. Performances were not as "zabardust" and "dhamakadar" as last year. Kareena's dedication to her sister was really boring. Hrithik didn't have any variety in his choreography, and his new hairstyle looks terrible. Two new awards were instituted this year. One of them was really stupid--the Filmfare Power Award. I still don't get what that one's about. John and Bipasha's performance was hot. This highlight of the show was unquestionably the hilarious duo, SRK and Saif. They extended their "Kantaben" sequence from Kal Ho Naa Ho. I thought KHNH should have won more awards rather than Koi...Mil Gaya, although both are awesome movies. Well, next year is the 50th awards. I'm looking forward to a special show!
