Mr. Schwartz: Hello. Were you in a car accident or something?
David Isaac: No, I wasn't. I got into a fight.
Mr. Schwartz: A fight?
David Isaac: Got into a fight.
Mr. Schwartz: You didn't do too good did you?
David Isaac: Oh, yeah? You think this is bad? You should see what I did to the other guy.
Mr. Schwartz: Yeah, right. Is he in the hospital too? Yeah, what's the difference? If it's any consolation to you, years ago I was going with this girl. I met her at Madison Square Garden. At a hockey game. Ab DeMarco hit a puck out of the rink right in our direction and I saw it was going to hit this girl next to me so I put my head in front of it - bam! I mean, I had a scar fourteen inches on the top of my head. And that's how I met my future wife. Anne was her name. She was beautiful. Lovely looking woman. Delicate.
David Isaac: That's nice.
Mr. Schwartz: And then she died in an automobile accident. Gone. Pffft. While I was in the service overseas. Terrible.
David Isaac: I'm sorry. I'm very sorry to hear that.
Mr. Schwartz: [choking back tears] I'm a... ..would you, would you give me some of this stuff?
David Isaac: [reaching for the oxygen mask] Yeah
Mr. Schwartz: Yeah, that's it. Good. Want a whiff?
David Isaac: No, I'm OK. Do you remember her?
Mr. Schwartz: Can never forget her. Your first love. It's what you keep looking for, the rest of your life. Some people are blessed. They can hold on. I wasn't. I had to let go.
David Isaac: I'm, I'm thinking about letting go.
Mr. Schwartz: Why? Why would you want to let go?
David Isaac: Our families are not making it easy on us.
Mr. Schwartz: Families, forget about families. You're young. You got a whole lifetime ahead of you. Now is the time for you to make a decision about your life. Hold on. Don't let go. I've a grandson, I'm trying to show him these things. He comes and visits me. He'll be here, here some time today.
David Isaac: With age comes wisdom, right?
Mr. Schwartz: When it comes to love, there are no wise men.
Dr. Levi: [arriving] Mr Schwartz, how are you feeling today?
Mr. Schwartz: You're the doctor, you tell me!
Dr. Levi: You're alright, I see. Now if you're a good boy, I'll have one of the nurses here take your temperature - the old-fashioned way!
Dr. Levi: [Mr Schwartz chuckles] David...... .
Mr. Schwartz: David, do you love her? Does she love you?
David Isaac: Yes, yes.
Mr. Schwartz: Then make it work. Find some way to make it work. You got it?
