Tagline: Not as fun as the original
Review by Neo: The movie is basically about sex, torture, more sex and more torture and eventually so much sex until death. Sounds like the Chinese Torture Chamber series or even the much appreciated mini-classic in Sex and Zen I and II. What's wrong with more sex and more torture? The problem, that isn't exactly the wrong part, but rather the lack of fun that made the first so refreshing. Then again, the specific targeted portion of gender-based audience probably does not care, as there are plenty of good looking Japanese actresses that are all willing to go the distance to satisfy most genre fans.
The film basically picks up where the first film left off, the only difference is that the main guy is no longer a nice goofy person; instead, he has become a true sleazy bastard, from raping other people's wives to killing people in ways that cannot be imagined. Basically, the film is about having sex with different people and the outcome is ultimately to entertain the awaiting audience.
Seriously, I am not a big fan of reviewing this kind of movies, that's why apart from Sex and Zen II (which I still believe to be one of the best movies in this genre), I have tried to stay away from reviewing movies as sleazy as this. Let's go though the performances one by one. Of all the AV starlets, I believe that Kaera Uehara (one of his friend's wife) have the best body, while small footed Serina Hayakawa gives the best sexual performance, Hikaru Wakana (who plays the first wife) gives the best acting potential and of course, Hong Kong's only star on display Winnie Leung once again disappoints fans with a less than satisfying sexual display. However, the worst performance of all, is the lack of comic timing from the lead male actor Lam Wai Kin who was at the very least funny in the first film, but here he is just a uncharismatic bastard.
Director Cash Chin has once again succeeded in creating a cheap soft-core, with minimal budget and managed to cash in on the success of the original. It is probably slack to ask for more quality, when the genre itself was already dead, before the first outing. Points should be given to Cash Chin for trying and also doing what most sequels do, creating everything in excess. Sometimes, as this is the case, more does not mean better. Basically, the first film was fun, the second is just plain sleazy and disturbing. With or without my comment, I am sure, the intended audience will see it anyway and with more sex than before, it is really hard to complain. At least, the way the film ended, it is hard to believe how another related sequel can be created
