Was pleasantly and refreshingly surprised by the unpredictable and fresh story, simple yet impactful treatment, and last but not the least some very believable performances. Varun Dhawan proves himself to be a good actor and Jahnvi is steadily rising a notch higher with every outing.
Surprised because the makers last minute decision of direct to OTT somewhere gave the impression that they are not believing in the end product of what they set out to do...but having seen the movie now...I somewhere get them! Our audience has been so unpredictable in recent times that any sincere attempt at doing something different can be met with unprecedented criticism.
It's a good, clean entertainer one that qualifies to the now rare category of "worthy of watching with family movies."As for the so-called "Auswictz reference" criticism, I feel it is being blown out of proportion. It is only as serious as one takes it.
All in all, a good watch!
