This movie addresses an interesting topic: the monotony and challenges that long-term couples may face, contrasted with a wild, unconventional, and youthful couple. While it attempts to explore this theme humorously, the execution ultimately was insufficient.
The entire premise revolved around sex and sex-related content. While there were some hints of this at the beginning, it went over the top almost before the halfway point, with every interaction, "joke," and narrative component centered around sex but lacking any depth. The humor relied on simple situational jokes and conversations of sex, making it feel like a gathering of immature teenagers. This summarized the movie's failure to deliver clever humor, as it leaned heavily on mindless, sex-related interactions. It was such a childish film that I could hardly believe what I was watching, ultimately turning the movie itself into a punchline.
The best part was the ending (no pun intended). The sequence of events leading up to the final scene beautifully encapsulated the situation, delivering a strong closing note. It ended without any dialogue-just a simple gesture that perfectly captured the state of the couple's relationship, leaving us with something to reflect on - much like a true drama. However, the entire premise of two grown-up couples talking about sex as if it were the ultimate taboo, with all the childish interactions and deplorable dialogue around sex, turned the movie into a literal anecdote-one I could not take seriously, which ultimately diminished the impact of the ending.
While there are a few laughable or at least smile-worthy moments, they are far less frequent than one would expect from a comedy. The film does feature some interesting twists along the way and does not come across as a cheap production, unlike many others in this genre. However, as I mentioned, the rest of the movie is a disaster.
In summary, this is a comedy "wannabe" that occasionally hits the mark but is mostly weighed down by an overemphasis on sex, which dominates the film. It seems better suited for teenagers exploring sex for the first time, or long-term couples who have lost touch with its meaning and find humor in anything sex-related. No effort is made to create clever jokes-just blunt and raw. While it likely has its target audience, unfortunately, I am not part of it and cannot recommend this movie.
