'The Golden Age' of Horror Movies (pre-1950)
I've seen this typology for horror movies catching on, and it seems fairly useful. It divides horror movies up into four over-arching ages; 'The Golden Age' (1949 or earlier),'The Silver Age' (1950 to 1979, inclusive), 'The Bronze Age' (1980 to 1999), and 'The Digital Age' (2000 and later).
