A blue hedgehog with supersonic speed must rescue animals from being turned into robots by a mad scientist.

In this 8-version of the game, Sonic returns from one of his adventures to find his island taken over by Robotnik and his friends captured. He must collect all of the Chaos Emeralds in order to save Tails and restore peace to South Island.

Sonic and Tails attempt to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds from Knuckles the Echidna, who is working with Doctor Robotnik after Robotnik's space station, the Death Egg, crash-lands on a mysterious floating island.

In this high-tech Sonic platformer, the evil genius, Robotnik, has discovered that the mysterious native birds of Flickies' Island, called "flickies" have a power that lets them travel to different dimensions through large gold rings.

Robotnik has a new plan to take over the world. He has built a new weapon, the Veg-O-Fortress on Mount Mobius and with it, he is transforming all creatures into robots. Sonic sneaks into the fortress and tries to stop Robotnik.

The evil Dr. Robotnik steals a Chaos Emerald from South Island, triggering earthquakes and turmoil. Sonic and Tails learn from Flicky the Bluebird that the emeralds have been taken from the island's North Cave.

Dr. Robotnik had successfully managed to get his hands on six of the Chaos Emeralds without Sonic knowing about it. Unfortunately for him, an accident during the testing phase of one of his new weapons had scattered the six emeralds. He managed to recover the yellow emerald, but failed to track down the other five. As he predicted, Sonic and his buddy Tails are now out to retrieve them, so he once again tricks Knuckles into working for him. Meanwhile, a treasure hunter named Nack the Weasel had eavesdropped on the conversation between Sonic and Knuckles. Unknown to them, Nack had already discovered the Chaos Emeralds in his home dimension. Now Sonic and Tails must fend off Robotnik and Knuckles while retrieving the emeralds back from Nack.

When the Battle Kukku Empire invades Cocoa Island, in search of the Chaos Emeralds, Tails must muster up the courage to save the island.

A compilation/revamp of Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, and Sonic and Knuckles for the Sega Saturn. Changes include minor bug fixes, Sonic and Knuckles' lock-on technology being added to the three earlier titles, being able play as Knuckles in Sonic 1, being able to play as Tails in Sonic and Knuckles, two new difficulties/stage layouts, the ability to spin dash (introduced in Sonic 2) in the first Sonic the Hedgehog, play Special Stages separately, a "Time Attack" mode, a "Time Out" option to disable the in-game time limits, and an optional mission list. There is also an interactive museum where you can view concept art, manuals, character portfolios, music, and original Japanese advertisements.

Knuckles and the Chaotix must prevent Doctor Robotnik and Metal Sonic from obtaining six magic rings and conquering a mysterious island.

Sonic is arrested after being falsely accused of crimes committed by another hedgehog named Shadow. Meanwhile, Eggman threatens to destroy the world in 24 hours with a planet destroying weapon if the world doesn't surrender to his rule.

Dr. Robotnik has invented a machine called The Mean Bean Steaming Machine, which he will use to transform the fun-loving citizens of Beanville into robot slaves to serve his evil purposes.
