This newly revealed list, uncovered in unsealed court documents, held the names of people Weinstein feared might be talking to journalists about his misconduct back in 2017. If you were attracted to “Agatha All Along” by the camaraderie of a group of witches, then “Charmed” is a natural next series to try.

The late nineties and early 2000s marked the peak of Brendan Fraser’s career as a leading man. The 1992 comedy classic, Encino Man put him on the map in a big way, and he had several other comedy hits throughout the decade, including George of the Jungle (along with an underrated drama called School Ties). But, it was 1999’s The Mummy that truly elevated him, with him cast as the wisecracking, Indiana Jones-style hero in what turned out to be one of the year’s biggest hits.

Yet, one movie Fraser did pretty soon after The Mummy has all but been forgotten, the live-action/ stop-motion hybrid Monkeybone, which was directed by The Nightmare Before Christmas’s Henry Selick. In it, Fraser played a harried cartoonist who meets his most famous creation, Monkeybone (voiced by John Turturro) while in a state of limbo following a car accident. Writer and director Quentin Tarantino might not have any love lost for his film "Death Proof," which he has famously claimed is his worst, but we here at /Film believe that it's the Tarantino classic we don't talk about enough. There's a lot to love in this half of "Grindhouse," which follows a kind of slasher named Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) who hunts and kills beautiful women using his tricked-out stunt car. There are the wild car chases and incredibly dangerous stunts. There's the killer soundtrack. There are the amazing actors who play the victims and then the queens who get their revenge on Mike. In the latest episode of “Let’s Be Clear,” the podcast started by Shannen Doherty before her passing, Rose McGowan shared her reflections on their relationship.

Doherty, who passed away at 53 in July after a prolonged battle with cancer, had a complex but ultimately reconciled relationship with McGowan, who replaced her on the TV show “Charmed” in 2001.

In a special episode of the Charmed rewatch podcast The House of Halliwell, Combs told her fellow castmates Brian Krause and Drew Fuller that she and Doherty thought they had “more time” together in friendship, as they had “big plans for this year.”

“She didn’t think she was going anywhere anytime soon,” Combs said. She also revealed that Doherty was going to take a trip to Italy and “was considering moving” there as well. Combs noted the irony of Fuller cutting his vacation in Italy short upon hearing the news of his former co-star’s death. “She was definitely laughing at you running through the airport,” Combs remarked.

A quarter of a century later, the high camp fashion of 1999’s Jawbreaker still has a chokehold on fans of the cult classic.

While reuniting for the Darren Stein-helmed teen movie’s 25th anniversary, Jawbreaker stars Judy Greer and Julie Benz looked back on their wardrobe from the set of the film and what they took home.

“I had some clothes for a little while, but I don’t remember what happened to them,” Greer told People after playing Fern Mayo, an awkward nerd who gets made over into the popular Vylette. “I had one of my ‘Vylette’ posters and I think it’s in a big tub of work mementos.”

Benz, who played mean girl minion Marcie “Foxy” Fox, recalled she “got to keep one outfit and it was the red, lacy, yellowy-orange top and skirt, and I think I wore that like 80 times until it fell apart.

Its original premise revolved around a trio of sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) — known as The Charmed Ones — powerful good witches who use their combined “Power of Three” to protect others.

That setup changed after the first three seasons when Doherty departed the series in one of the most talked about series exits, with the attention focusing on Dohery’s relationship with Milano. Morgan Spurlock had been suffering from cancer for the past few years of his life, with his friends and family by his side. And on 23rd May, he breathed his last. His family brought the news to light that he had passed away due to the complications arising out of cancer.

Most fingers – including Doherty’s – point to co-star Alyssa Milano, although she has hardly fessed up to any wrongdoing. Shannen Doherty said if she’d had the chance to return for the Charmed finale, she still would have chosen not to. The actress said this week going back to set “would’ve crushed me.”

“I regret it one sense, I regret it for the fans,” she said on her Let’s Be Clear With Shannen Doherty podcast. “But I don’t regret it for me, because I was so incredibly wrecked from getting fired that, I think, even years — years — years later, had I walked on that set, it just would’ve stirred everything back up for me. And it would’ve crushed me all over again.”

Doherty was fired from Charmed after season 3, and has since alleged that co-star Alyssa Milano was the reason for her firing, claiming the actress gave producers an ultimatum to choose between the two of them.

Edgar Wright is doubling down on iconic-film remakes, potentially directing “Barbarella,” starring executive producer Sydney Sweeney.

IndieWire can confirm that Wright is in talks to direct the reimagining of the 1968 cult film that originally starred Jane Fonda as an astronaut looking to defeat an intergalactic evil force. “X-Men: First Class” screenwriters Jane Goldman and Honey Ross are also in negotiations to write the Sony film.

Deadline first reported that Wright is in the running to direct.

And speaking of running, Wright was recently announced to be writing and directing his long-awaited “Running Man” remake with Sweeney’s “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell in the lead. The Paramount feature has been in the works with Wright since 2017, and is based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel and later the 1987 feature starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Deadline reports this afternoon that Edgar Wright is in talks to direct the brand new Barbarella movie starring Sydney Sweeney.

Jane Goldman and Honey Goldman are in talks to write the screenplay for Sony. They’ll be writing the movie alongside Edgar Wright.

Deadline notes in their exclusive report today, “The film is still in development given Sweeney’s busy schedule and Wright deep in prep on his The Running Man reboot with Glen Powell starring, so the project will not be next up for either talent.”

Barbarella began its life as a French comic book series from creator Jean-Claude Forest, which was later adapted in 1968 as a feature film starring Jane Fonda as the title character.

Harvey Weinstein was already effectively serving a life sentence when he was flown to Los Angeles to face his second trial on rape and sexual assault charges.

That second conviction is now the only thing keeping him in prison, after the New York Court of Appeals overturned his original verdict in a 4-3 ruling on Thursday.

The court’s ruling could now be used to bolster the appeal in California, which, if successful, could set the former Hollywood producer free.

“At the time the jury was deciding the evidence in California, they were working under the assumption and the belief that he had properly been convicted in New York,” said Jennifer Bonjean, the attorney who is handling Weinstein’s California appeal. “Now we know that’s not true.”

The Los Angeles jury was informed of Weinstein’s earlier conviction during the trial, and it also came up during jury selection.

Before Bassett signed on, the project had passed through the hands of directors Robert Rodriguez, Simon West, Bryan Singer, and Joey Soloway, with Hannah John-Kamen, Rose McGowan, and Amber Heard being considered for the lead role. Charmed is one of the biggest shows of the ’90s and ’00s.

The series, which premiered on The WB for eight seasons from October 1998 through May of 2006, centers around three sisters with unique magical powers, also known as the Charmed Ones, who are the most powerful good witches in the world. Using their powers (the Power of Three!), they protect the world from evil.

The first three seasons featured Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano) as the trio, until Shannen left in 2001, being replaced by Rose McGowan as the long-lost younger half-sister Paige Matthews in Season 4.
