In newly unsealed court documents, Ben Affleck is on Harvey Weinstein’s Red Flag List (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Ben Affleck’s name on disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein’s “Red Flag List” raised more than a few eyebrows. This newly revealed list, uncovered in unsealed court documents, held the names of people Weinstein feared might be talking to journalists about his misconduct back in 2017. As the industry reeled from the revelations that fueled the #MeToo movement, Affleck’s inclusion in this infamous document added a surprising twist to the unfolding story.
This “Red Flag List” was part of nearly 1,000 pages unsealed at a New York courthouse ahead of Weinstein’s sentencing. In those pages, Weinstein’s internal worries came to light: around 70 names of people he suspected might expose him, a mix of accusers and Hollywood insiders who knew too much. The list surfaced during Weinstein’s seven-week trial when prosecutors...

What’s your favorite scary movie?
For throngs of fans in attendance at Rhode Island Comic Con in Providence this past weekend, the emphatic answer was Wes Craven‘s Scream.
Actors David Arquette (Dewey), Skeet Ulrich (Billy), Matthew Lillard (Stu), Jamie Kennedy (Randy), Rose McGowan (Tatum), Roger L. Jackson (voice of Ghostface), Lee Waddell (Ghostface), and Dermot Mulroney (Scream VI‘s Detective Bailey) participated in a reunion panel on Saturday.
“The fact that this movie has spanned generations is unbelievable to us,” a grateful Ulrich greeted the packed audience.
“We’re so thankful for you for taking the time out of your lives to come and see us and for the love and the warmth that you share when we get to meet you. We don’t always have a ton of time, but we try and take as much time as possible to really show our love for you.

Here’s why Sandra Bullock was scared of Harvey Weinstein (Photo Credit – Wikimedia)
In a candid interview with The Sunday Times, Sandra Bullock opened up about her early experiences with unwanted advances in Hollywood, shedding light on why she harbored fear towards the notorious Harvey Weinstein. Her story, though personal, resonates with many in the industry who faced similar situations.
Bullock reflected on a pivotal moment early in her career, recounting an uncomfortable encounter with a “person of authority” while filming. “I kept deflecting it with humor, and it didn’t work,” she shared. The tension escalated until she reached her breaking point: “Finally, I said, ‘Please just fire me.’” This striking revelation highlights the problematic decisions women in Hollywood have faced for decades, often feeling cornered and powerless.
While she did not specify the individual involved in her harassment, Bullock’s mention of Weinstein revealed a more profound fear.

These shows and movies may help you move past the sadness from missing Agatha and your other favorite witches.
Agatha Harkness’s journey down the Witches’ Road has come to a close. Whether or not she achieved her goals at the end is a spoiler I won’t divulge here, but it’s safe to say that “Agatha All Along” has aired its season — and perhaps series — finale as of Wednesday, Oct. 30. If you’re left feeling a little empty and lost as to what to stream next, fear not! I’ve got a list of four TV shows and movies to try and satisfy that witchy itch.
What Should You Watch Next After ‘Agatha All Along’
Charmed
Motherland: Fort Salem
Return to Oz
The Umbrella Academy
Charmed
If you were attracted to “Agatha All Along” by the camaraderie of a group of witches, then “Charmed” is a natural next series to try.

It’s time for a new episode of the Real Slashers video series – and while the series is often focused on movies from the slasher glory days of the 1980s, occasionally it will jump to other decades. The latest episode is an example of that, as it takes a look at the 1996 film Scream (watch it Here), a movie that revitalized the horror genre at the time it was released, as horror had a bit of a rough ride through the early ’90s. To hear all about it, check out the video embedded above.
Directed by Wes Craven from a screenplay by Kevin Williamson, Scream has the following synopsis: After a series of mysterious deaths, a seemingly peaceful community becomes a place where no one is safe, and everyone is a suspect. That is when an offbeat group of friends rally to unlock the town’s deadly secrets, and gets...

The late nineties and early 2000s marked the peak of Brendan Fraser’s career as a leading man. The 1992 comedy classic, Encino Man put him on the map in a big way, and he had several other comedy hits throughout the decade, including George of the Jungle (along with an underrated drama called School Ties). But, it was 1999’s The Mummy that truly elevated him, with him cast as the wisecracking, Indiana Jones-style hero in what turned out to be one of the year’s biggest hits.
Yet, one movie Fraser did pretty soon after The Mummy has all but been forgotten, the live-action/ stop-motion hybrid Monkeybone, which was directed by The Nightmare Before Christmas’s Henry Selick. In it, Fraser played a harried cartoonist who meets his most famous creation, Monkeybone (voiced by John Turturro) while in a state of limbo following a car accident. Bridget Fonda, Chris Kattan and Rose McGowan co-star.

“I killed Liz. I killed the teen dream. “Deal with it.”
Every high school has them: the beautiful ones. Glamorous, popular, happy, and thriving, these teenage dream girls rise to the top of any social environment and effortlessly achieve anything they put their minds to. Serving as both role models and fashion plates, they’re worshiped and revered by the rest of the school who grasp for scraps of their exorbitant power. While there have always been mean girls who also happen to be popular, this cinematic archetype arguably dates back to the weaponized girlie pop perfection of Darren Stein‘s Jawbreaker . Closing out the 20th century, this high camp film originated the now iconic hot girl walk while exploring the hell of teenage girlhood.

Having established himself with a string of low-budget, transgressive films, New Queer Cinema luminary Gregg Araki expanded his budgetary and artistic palette with his so-called Teen Apocalypse Trilogy, a series of narratively unrelated but thematically linked features about LGBTQ youths living on the margins of a Los Angeles redolent of the desiccated outskirts of the city as seen in Alex Cox’s Repo Man. Like that film, 1993’s Totally F***ed Up, 1995’s The Doom Generation, and 1997’s Nowhere are informed by the legacy and aesthetics of punk, but Araki builds on that foundation with styles drawn from the queer underground, as well as the rise of ’90s alternative music in its myriad forms of noise.
Totally F***ed Up sets the general narrative tone and atmosphere for all three features in the trilogy. Though it does have certain narrative through lines, the most significant of which is telegraphed by...

A reboot of Red Sonja spent nearly fifteen years in development hell before going into production in 2022 with director M.J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) at the helm. Before Bassett signed on, the project had passed through the hands of directors Robert Rodriguez, Simon West, Bryan Singer, and Joey Soloway, with Hannah John-Kamen, Rose McGowan, and Amber Heard being considered for the lead role. Matilda Lutz ended up starring in the film, and while we still don’t know when we’ll get to see her version of the title character in action, a set pic has just arrived online to give us a look at a blood spattered Lutz wearing a version of the character’s iconic bikini armor. Writer and director Quentin Tarantino might not have any love lost for his film "Death Proof," which he has famously claimed is his worst, but we here at /Film believe that it's the Tarantino classic we don't talk about enough. There's a lot to love in this half of "Grindhouse," which follows a kind of slasher named Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) who hunts and kills beautiful women using his tricked-out stunt car. There are the wild car chases and incredibly dangerous stunts. There's the killer soundtrack. There are the amazing actors who play the victims and then the queens who get their revenge on Mike. And then, of course, there's Russell himself, who is arguably one of the coolest performers to ever grace the silver screen.
Tarantino is pretty well-known for his homages and references to the films that inspired his work, but he's not above throwing in a few straight-up Easter eggs either.

In the latest episode of “Let’s Be Clear,” the podcast started by Shannen Doherty before her passing, Rose McGowan shared her reflections on their relationship.
Doherty, who passed away at 53 in July after a prolonged battle with cancer, had a complex but ultimately reconciled relationship with McGowan, who replaced her on the TV show “Charmed” in 2001.
McGowan’s Heartfelt Expression Towards Late Shannen Doherty
McGowan, now 50, expressed her regrets about not having had more time with Doherty and not participating in the podcast with her.
She noted that their publicized relationship made their private time together all the more precious. “I do regret not doing the podcast with her, but at the same time, having that period of time just for us was really special,” McGowan said.

Mayim Bialik’s portrayal of Amy Farrah Fowler was widely loved on The Big Bang Theory. Introduced in the third season, she quickly gained a huge fan following and was made a series regular on the show. But in the recent past, some of her statements have gained attention, but mostly in the wrong context. The most contentious of the lot was when she expressed her opinions on the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

When people say, “Hollywood is a cult!”, it’s usually meant as hyperbole. But when Michelle Pfeiffer tried to make her name in Tinseltown, she found herself actually falling in with a cult, even if she didn’t realize it at the time.
Although Michelle Pfeiffer grew up in California, she knew to make it in movies she would have to move to Hollywood. Soon after she made her small screen debut on a 1978 episode of Fantasy Island, Pfeiffer landed the role of The Bombshell on Delta House, a terrible spin-off of Animal House. And it was that character name that Pfeiffer felt compelled to live up to, becoming close with a group that she thought was just trying to help her stay fit. “They worked with weights and put people on diets. Their thing was vegetarianism.” She added that this was far from being a standard weight loss group,...

A quarter of a century later, the high camp fashion of 1999’s Jawbreaker still has a chokehold on fans of the cult classic.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the actress remembered Doherty who she described as her “better half.”
“My better half of 31 years. There is a hollow in my chest and I can’t seem to catch my breath. A part of me is missing even though I know exactly what you would say to me right now. I know exactly what you would tell me to do right now. I know your undying spirit will live in me and my kids who you loved as your own. They will walk with your sense of purpose and pride. They will be truthful and stand up for what is right. No matter what and zero fucks given. Your fire will live on in them and the many other Charmed ones you helped raise.”
Combs continued, “A fierce fighter til the end.

Its original premise revolved around a trio of sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) — known as The Charmed Ones — powerful good witches who use their combined “Power of Three” to protect others.
That setup changed after the first three seasons when Doherty departed the series in one of the most talked about series exits, with the attention focusing on Dohery’s relationship with Milano. Following Doherty’s death from cancer at the age 53, Milano spoke of her co-star in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Deadline.
Additionally, Combs and several other Charmed cast members, including Rose McGowan, who succeeded Doherty on the show, posted tributes on social media.

Film and television fans mourned the death of Gen X icon Shannen Doherty this weekend. The 53-year-old star of “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Mallrats” died following a lengthy and public battle with cancer. The news of her death—during a ludicrous weekend in America which also saw the deaths of Dr. Ruth Westheimer and Richard Simmons, as well as an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, former host of the eight-time Emmy-nominated reality show “The Apprentice”—sparked several reminiscences from those who knew her.
Jason Priestly, who played Doherty’s brother on “90210,” shared a promotional photo of the two of them from their younger years, and added, “she was a force of nature and I will miss her.”

Shannen Doherty shared she was feeling very “hopeful” about her chemo and survival before passing on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. The actress was getting ready to start a new round and she felt better, with good reason. What exactly did Shannen have to say? Keep reading for more details on her final thoughts.
Shannen Doherty Was ‘Hopeful’ About Survival Before Passing
As Shannen Doherty’s friends and former co-stars are mourning her and honoring the legacy she left behind, one of her last chats has resurfaced. She had a podcast, Let’s Be Honest and she discussed her upcoming chemo treatments. Admittedly, everything was very uncertain as she had beaten breast cancer in 2017. She was initially diagnosed in 2015 but found herself in remission two years later. Sadly, it came back in 2019 and she was in for the fight of her life. It seemed she had no idea what to expect but this time around,...

Alyssa Milano paid tribute to her Charmed co-star Shannen Doherty following news of the actress’ death Sunday.
“It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core [she] was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of,” Milano said. “She was a talented actress, beloved by many and the world is less without her. My condolences to all who loved her.”
It was a complicated relationship indeed, with reports of a feud between the two actresses first surfacing two decades ago when they starred together in Charmed, along with Holly Marie Combs. In December last year, Doherty and Combs alleged that Milano orchestrated Doherty being fired from the USA show in 2001, when her character, Prue, was killed off. Rose McGowan ostensibly replaced her in the cast.
Milano later denied the claims, calling them “revisionist history” in a February Instagram post.

Shannen Doherty refused to slow down.
Late last year, the actress launched a memoir-style podcast, Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty, a vehicle which she used to inspire others. In an interview about it with People, she remained defiant.
“I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better,” she said. “I’m just not — I’m not done.”
Yesterday, her journey came to an end, and her friends in Hollywood took to social media to remember the spirit she showed.

There has been much debate and discussion over why Shannen Doherty left Charmed just three seasons in. Most fingers – including Doherty’s – point to co-star Alyssa Milano, although she has hardly fessed up to any wrongdoing. Whatever the true case may be, when Prue Halliwell was killed off in “All Hell Breaks Loose”, that was it for Shannen Doherty’s Charmed run. And that includes the series finale, “Forever Charmed”, which is one of the finest of its time despite her absence.
Speaking on her own Let’s Be Clear podcast (via The Hollywood Reporter), Shannen Doherty says she wishes she could have given Charmed fans a different sendoff by being part of “Forever Charmed” but knows it wouldn’t have benefited her. “I regret it one sense, I regret it for the fans. Shannen Doherty said if she’d had the chance to return for the Charmed finale, she still would have chosen not to. The actress said this week going back to set “would’ve crushed me.”
“I regret it one sense, I regret it for the fans,” she said on her Let’s Be Clear With Shannen Doherty podcast. “But I don’t regret it for me, because I was so incredibly wrecked from getting fired that, I think, even years — years — years later, had I walked on that set, it just would’ve stirred everything back up for me. And it would’ve crushed me all over again.”
Doherty was fired from Charmed after season 3, and has since alleged that co-star Alyssa Milano was the reason for her firing, claiming the actress gave producers an ultimatum to choose between the two of them.

Harvey Weinstein was already effectively serving a life sentence when he was flown to Los Angeles to face his second trial on rape and sexual assault charges.
That second conviction is now the only thing keeping him in prison, after the New York Court of Appeals overturned his original verdict in a 4-3 ruling on Thursday.
The court’s ruling could now be used to bolster the appeal in California, which, if successful, could set the former Hollywood producer free.
“At the time the jury was deciding the evidence in California, they were working under the assumption and the belief that he had properly been convicted in New York,” said Jennifer Bonjean, the attorney who is handling Weinstein’s California appeal. “Now we know that’s not true.”
The Los Angeles jury was informed of Weinstein’s earlier conviction during the trial, and it also came up during jury selection.

Adam Sandler has been part of the industry since the early 90s. He started his career with small roles in TV shows before joining Saturday Night Live. From 1990 to 1995, he featured in SNL as a writer as well as an artist before being given the boot by NBC. Soon after that, he started landing leading roles in comedy movies and became the quintessential rom-com hero.

Jean-Claude Forest created the heroine Barbarella in the pages of V Magazine back in 1962, and it only took six years for director Roger Vardim (and a small army of screenwriters) to bring the character to the screen in the film Barbarella (watch it Here), where she was played by Jane Fonda. A sequel called Barbarella Goes Down never made it into production, but talks of a Barbarella reboot have been bouncing around for decades, with Rose McGowan, Halle Berry, and Kate Beckinsale being among those who have been considered for the title role. Robert Rodriguez was going to direct the new film at one point, Robert Luketic at another. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade wrote a screenplay, and were later attached to a TV adaptation that had Nicolas Winding Refn at the helm. None of these ever got the greenlight. About a year and a half ago, it was announced...

The ‘very male-gazed orientation’ of the 1980s version of Red Sonja will be a thing of the past in the remake, says Matilda Lutz.
Fantasy adventure Red Sonja emerged in 1985, three years after 1982’s Conan The Barbarian and around the time of the unexpectedly daft Conan The Destroyer. Red Sonja, directed by Destroyer’s Richard Fleischer, cashed in on that series’ popularity and also featured its star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, alongside 80s icon Brigitte Nielsen who starred as the titular female warrior.
There has been talk of a reboot of the movie for years, but it seems to be a project that has taken forever to bring to the screen – and we’re not just talking about the hold-ups caused by strikes and pandemics. Charmed is one of the biggest shows of the ’90s and ’00s.
The series, which premiered on The WB for eight seasons from October 1998 through May of 2006, centers around three sisters with unique magical powers, also known as the Charmed Ones, who are the most powerful good witches in the world. Using their powers (the Power of Three!), they protect the world from evil.
The first three seasons featured Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano) as the trio, until Shannen left in 2001, being replaced by Rose McGowan as the long-lost younger half-sister Paige Matthews in Season 4.

The saga of what really happened on the set of Charmed has another new chapter. Buckle up, it’s a lot of back and forth.
Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs sat side by side on the main stage at MegaCon Orlando on Sunday. As the panel came to a close, Doherty pulled out a cellphone to read a statement. At one point, the actress fought back tears as she responded to claims made two days earlier at the same convention by fellow Charmed star Alyssa Milano, who blasted Doherty and Combs for crafting “revisionist history” in blaming Milano for Doherty’s firing at the end of season three in 2001.
“A lot of things have been said, and a lot of them very hurtful,” Doherty said in reference to her hard-to-follow saga with Milano. During an episode of Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear podcast in December, she...

Shannen Doherty is tired of the back and forth with her one-time Charmed co-star, Alyssa Milano.
The pair have been going back and forth for years after their relationship became strained while working on the supernatural drama.
Doherty previously spoke out about her feud with Milano, alleging that her nemesis gave producers an ultimatum that got her written off the show following Season 3.
For the record, Milano has vehemently denied the allegation, saying during a Who’s the Boss? panel at MegaCon Orlando that it’s a shame “people can’t move past it,” according to People.
In the aftermath of the panel, Milano doubled down on Instagram, claiming she didn’t have “the power to get anyone fired.”
Instead, Milano said it came down to the late Aaron Spelling, who followed the advice of a professional mediator amid the on-set drama.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Doherty and her former Charmed co-stars Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan addressed comments she made on her Let’s Be Clear podcast during a panel at the MegaCon Orlando event on Sunday, February 4. “Holly and I, we were not mean on the podcast,” Doherty said, referring to a December episode of her podcast where she claimed Milano had a hand in her exit from the hit WB series. “In fact, we went in and we edited out anything that we felt would cause more drama.” She continued, “We simply told the truth because the truth actually does matter. But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible.” Doherty, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer,...
