Produced by Paul Gregory. NOTE: (1) Essentially a staged reading, the production had a single performance at Carnegie Hall on 22 Oct 1951. It then returned to New York, playing the New Century Theatre on Broadway beginning on 29 Nov 1951 for 38 performances. After a three-month hiatus, the production staged a return engagement at Broadway's Plymouth Theatre from 6 Apr 6 1952-24 May 1952 for 66 performances. Boyer was presented with a special Tony Award for his performance as Don Juan. While not a hit per se, this is considered one of the most prestigious productions ever mounted on Broadway. (2) The production was recorded and released as an long-playing record. (3) "Don Juan in Hell" (often cut in stage productions, ironically including it's debut run in London) is the lengthy 3rd act of Shaw's 1903 drama "Man and Superman."

- (1/6/74) Radio: Appeared in the "The Old Ones Are Hard to Kill" episode of "CBS Radio Mystery Theatre". NOTE: The program was an attempt to revive the radio drama of the 1930s and 1940s. A few weeks later she appeared in another episode, "The Ring of Truth," apparently her last dramatic appearance on radio.
- Radio: Frequently appeared on the radio programs "Inner Sanctum," "Mayor of the Town" and "Cavalcade of America" in the 1940s, and was a regular on the serial "Way Down East."
- Radio: Appeared in the CBS Radio anthology series "Suspense" - including all eight times she performed the Lucille Fletcher play "Sorry, Wrong Number" between 1943 and 1960.

NOTES: (1) This was a magic/variety revue staged to entertain troops on their way to the Pacific front, who were given free admission. (2) Show ran for a month in Hollywood, then Welles took it on a national tour. (3) Welles used a portion of his magic act in this production for his contribution to the all-star film Follow the Boys (1944).
