Jerry O'Donnell is an American actor, comedian, writer, director and
producer. He was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. In 1993, he debuted
in various roles on CBS' "Guiding Light". He then began a career in
stand-up comedy, performing in clubs all over the East Coast, including
Caroline's Comedy Club in NYC.During this time Jerry also dabbled in theater playing Lucas Brickman in Neil Simon's "Laughter on the 23rd Floor".
In 2000, he turned to producing where he also made his directorial debut on the feature film, "Sleeping in a Dream", which is presently distributed by Indieflix and streaming on Amazon Prime.
From 1997-2005, he landed recurring roles on episodes of 'Spin City', 'Law & Order' and 'Law & Order:SVU'. From 2005-2011, Jerry had to take a hiatus from the business due to family issues. From 2011-2014, Jerry developed two pilots: 'Extreme Hangover' and 'Go Cook Yourself'. He finally came back in 2014-2015 landing roles on 'The Jim Norton Show', 'Royal Pains' and the HBO miniseries 'Show Me a Hero' (directed by 2 time Oscar winner Paul Haggis) as parole agent 'Thomas Downer'. And beginning 2016 , working on Marvel's 'Daredevil' and a recurring role as the pastor on 'Holiday Shelter'.
In 2017, he landed a recurring role on the Emmy award winning series 'Mr. Robot' alongside Ocsar winner Rami Malek. As of 2018, he landed a recurring role in seasons 3 and 4 in the acclaimed Showtime series "Billions". After the pandemic, Jerry booked roles on NBC's 'New Amsterdam' as Joe Farley a dying patient (directed by Darnell Martin), and soon after, a recurring role on Starz hit series 'Power Book lll:Raising Kanan' directed by Exec Prod. Bart Wenrich and Joy T.Lane. Most recently he guest starred in the acclaimed NBC drama "The Blacklist" airing 2023.
He still performs stand-up regularly in the tri-state area and does numerous charity events. He is represented by Avalon Artists Group. He is also a teamster, teaches pitching for youth baseball and loves to vacation with his wife, Andrea who he married in 2005, and their two amazing daughters, Amanda and Ava.
