Michael Strahan couldn’t escape wedding talk during a recent segment of Good Morning America.
The popular GMA star returned to the desk this week alongside his co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos.
Amid Michael’s return to GMA, he shared an intriguing message about staying engaged on his social media.
It resulted in some curious fans mentioning they thought that Strahan got engaged or would never get married again.
However, the post seemed more of a motivational message than a possible hint about an engagement.
Not long after that post, George was able to throw a clever jab at Michael about weddings.

On Wednesday, August 7, Linsey Davis joined Michael and George to fill in for Robin during her GMA absence.
At one point in the episode, they sat together in comfortable chairs in the studio, away from the desk, for a unique story.

Jerry Seinfeld took a shot at Friends in a new digital short promoting his new film Unfrosted, a comedy about the creation of Pop-Tarts.
Seinfeld made his directorial debut in the Netflix film about how the toaster pastries came to be. A new short ahead of the film’s release on May 3, Seinfeld visits Kellogg’s corporate offices in Michigan due to “trademark infringement.”
“You see, Mr. Seinfeld, you took something of ours, and now we’re going to take something of yours,” says the fictional President of Pop-Tarts, Kelman P. Gasworth.
Tarty, the Pop-Tarts mascot, then proceeds to unveil former Seinfeld characters trapped in a box. Making a cameo in the spot are Alexandra Wentworth’s Schmoopie, Phil Morris’s Jackie Chiles and Larry Thomas’ The Soup Nazi.
“My characters!” Seinfeld says.

Pop-Tarts is getting back at Jerry Seinfeld.
It all started when Seinfeld directed and co-wrote a movie, Unfrosted, about the origin of Pop-Tarts. He also stars in the film, which hits Netflix on May 3.
Unfrosted tells the (fictional) origin story of Pop-Tarts, which resulted in a race between breakfast rivals Kellogg’s and Post to create a pastry for the masses in 1963. While Pop-Tarts do indeed have an origin story, this is not it. (The idea had been percolating with Seinfeld for several years — he even made jokes about Pop-Tarts in his stand-up routine and once tweeted he was mulling over the idea of this film — but Pop-Tarts was not involved in the making of Unfrosted.)
“This really did happen in Battle Creek, Michigan, where Kellogg’s and Post were located, and they did compete to come up with this product,” Seinfeld has said. “But the rest of it is complete lunacy.

Katy Perry has a lunch date set for April.
The music superstar is confirmed to receive a Colleagues Champion of Children Award in honor of contributions made through her Firework Foundation at the 35th annual Colleagues spring luncheon. Set to take place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on April 25, the event will be hosted by Ali Wentworth and feature a fashion show from Oscar de la Renta’s fall 2024 collection designed by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia.
Perry is being singled out due to the impact she’s had on youth through the Firework Foundation, which she launched in 2019 alongside sister Angela Lerche. Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts was feeling the love on the Valentine’s Day episode of the ABC program.
She’s been known to joke, tease, and banter with her GMA colleagues, including her fired-up interaction with one anchor about the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce relationship.
However, things nearly became awkward as she put her co-anchors on the hot seat during a live TV segment on Wednesday.
Roberts was joined by Michael Strahan, who returned to GMA after a week away, and George Stephanopoulos, who continues to appear regularly on ABC’s show.
During one part of GMA, Roberts told her co-anchors she had an important question to ask them.
Strahan and Stephanopoulos wisely navigated being put on the hot seat, though.

After shooting the Taylor Swift documentary Miss Americana, deconstructing another pop icon in Brooke Shields was an organic segue for filmmaker Lana Wilson. The director is up for a Primetime Emmy nomination in Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program for the Hulu/ABC News docuseries Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields.

“Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields,” a documentary about Brooke Shields and the sexual objectification she endured as a child actor, arrives on Hulu today.
In the two-part documentary, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, the actor and model opens up for the first time about her earliest experiences in Hollywood. The film tracks her rise as a child advertising model to her sexualization in movies, starting at age 12, in “Pretty Baby” (1978), and then at 15, in “The Blue Lagoon” (1980).
“I spent my life owing people things and doing whatever they wanted,” Shields says in a new teaser dropped Wednesday morning. “I finally asked myself, ‘What will I be if I don’t allow that anymore?'”
Shields’ experience with older men on set as a child is a common theme in her recollections.

Using the genre trappings of the superhero origin story, Amazon’s new drama The Power explores society’s preoccupation with and fear of pubescent girls. The series, which I’m not actually reviewing here, delves into how vast corners of the law and organized religion have been unconsciously or very consciously advanced to deny those girls agency. In the case of The Power, that agency arrives not in the form of legislation or a Supreme Court verdict, but as an evolutionary ability to generate and wield electricity. The patriarchy is in for a shock!

"The world tells you how to be... But how do you become who you really are?" ABC News Studios + Hulu have revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, which first premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. It'll be available on Hulu to watch in April. The doc is a galvanizing look at actor, model and icon Brooke Shields as she transforms from a hyper-sexualized young girl (starting at age 12 in the film Pretty Baby) to a woman discovering her power. Holding a mirror up to a society that objectifies women and girls, her story shows the perils and triumphs of gaining agency in a hostile world. Produced by Matador Content and BedBy8 for ABC News Studios. The film marks the debut project from BedBy8, the newly formed production company created by Ali Wentworth, George Stephanopoulos and partner Alyssa Mastromonaco. This looks...

In the new Hulu docuseries “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields,” the actress — who began modeling at 11 months and at age 12 and starred as a child prostitute in Louis Malle’s controversial film “Pretty Baby” — looks back on the pressures and insanity of being a worldwide sex symbol at such a young age.
Lana Wilson directed the two-part series, which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival and will debut on Hulu on April 3. The film marks the debut project from BedBy8, the newly formed production company by Ali Wentworth, George Stephanopoulos and partner Alyssa Mastromonaco.
The trailer starts with a clip in which talk show host Mike Douglas makes the teenager visibly uncomfortable as he tells her, “You really are an exquisite-looking young lady.”

Amid concerns about a so-called “Day of Hate” reportedly planned tomorrow by White Supremacists and other fringe groups, Jessica Seinfeld took to her social media to ask friends of the Jewish community to “counter this idea with their love and light.”
Seinfeld suggests joining a Jewish friend at synagogue for Shabbat in order to “fill our sanctuaries with courage and friendship.” Another idea she suggests is to “invite yourself to a Shabbat meal,” or “call or text your Jewish friends and simply say ‘I’m here.’ “
Here is the full text of her post:

We’re obsessed with The Parent Test, the new competition series hosted by Ali Wentworth and parenting expert/clinical psychologist (and dad of eight!) Dr. Adolph Brown, that aims to determine the best style of parenting. “This show works for people who have kids, but also are a kid – we all have parents,” says Wentworth a mom of two teens. “We haven’t had a lot of these conversations before in our culture. People are very protective of their parenting style. We wanted a show that was a toolbox, pulling different things from different styles.” Twelve styles to be exact. A dozen families with different approaches to raising children – from helicopter to free-range; traditional to new age – complete challenges designed to stress test each method. Since the January 5 premiere, the kids have been asked to tackle the high dive, cook dinner (with supervision!), switch roles with the adults (Freaky Friday!

“Pretty Baby,” a two-part documentary about the intense highs and lows of American icon Brooke Shields, brought the house down with its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday.
The doc explores the appalling sexualization of Shields beginning at age 9, the top-tier modeling and acting career that followed, and the urgent conversations she inspires around what society expects of women.
Directed by Lana Wilson (Taylor Swift’s “Miss Americana”), “Pretty Baby” confronts milestones in Shields’ life that, in a post #MeToo world, shocked the audience at Park City’s Eccles Theater. Pre-pubescent nude photoshoots, male talk show hosts asking if 12-year-old Shields enjoys being a sex symbol, the horrors of an alcoholic mom and manager and Shields’ notable public battles with the likes of Tom Cruise are all on the table.
“I’ve always made it an important part of my journey to be as honest as I could.

Brooke Shields agreed to participate in a doc about her life and career not because of what it would say about her, but for what it could say through her — namely, a discussion about the sexualization of young girls.
By now, the celebrity bio-doc is well-trod territory, but Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, which premieres Jan. 20 at the Sundance Film Festival, aspires to be more than a career retrospective. “I’m not interested in famous-person problems. What I am interested in is how fame can amplify and supercharge relatable problems,” says director Lana Wilson, who most recently directed the Taylor Swift Netflix doc Miss Americana. “[Brooke’s] life has been extreme and utterly unique, but her experience of being a woman in America is horrifyingly relatable.”
