- Birth nameThomas Foley Antonellis
- Growing up, Tom Antonellis was a jack-of-all-arts (illustration, magic, acting, theater, stage design) and, since college: stand-up comedy, TV & film and, to a great extent, voiceover (including being a voicematch specialist and dialect coach).
Together with his sister Julee Antonellis, he's co-host of the hilarious and heartfelt "Back Through The Basement" podcast.
As a VO artist, Tom runs a very full gamut: commercials, animation, TV, film, audiobooks, voicematching, looping, ADR, dubbing, apps, narrative podcasts, non-narrative podcasts, radio, narration, comedy, improv, legalese, trailers, live event announcing and yes -- even singing.
Clients and credits include Marvel, Disney, Disney+, Peacock, HBO, The Boston Celtics, NASCAR of New England, Penguin Random House, Audible, Arthur Murray Dance Studios, TriCalm itch cream, The Tombras Group.
As a Dialect Coach, he teaches: General American, Bostonian, New England, New York, American Southern (as in KY/TN), Deep South (as in AL/MS), Midwestern (as in MN), US Farm & Ranch Belt (rural IL, IN, MO, KS), Standard British (aka RP), Cockney, Irish, Scottish, French, Italian, TransAtlantic/MidAtlantic.
Tom was the US Dialect Coach on Peacock's "Joe vs. Carole". The dialect work even led to an on-camera role: you can catch Tom as a "Boston Driver" in Episode 7 of HBO's "Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty". In a similar vein to dialect work is voicematching (using much of the same skills) -- Tom's most notable credit in this area is "Avengers Endgame" for Marvel and a fusing of parody, original voices and a quasi-voicematch was what led to Tom's VO role in "Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers" for Disney+- IMDb Mini Biography By: Tom Antonellis
- Has a comedy CD called "Abbott & Costello Meet Tom Antonellis...At Christmas" which is, in essence, a full CD homage to his favorite comedy duo. The CD functions like and Old-Time Radio show in the format of the old Abbott & Costello shows from the 1940s complete with announcer, cigarette commercial and musical guest. The catch: all the comedy is original yet written in Abbott & Costello's style of funny word-play and Tom plays all the male voices. Available on Amazon and iTunes.
- Has a comedy CD called "Tom Antonellis: Laugh at or With" which is a comedic magnum opus encapsulating all his favorite kind of comedy. Tom does a ton of the voices in comedic pieces ranging from impressions, to characters, comedic cover songs, ire-filled rants, blues stuff, absurd stuff, "behind-the-scenes" pieces, improvisation, sketch, "list comedy" a la George Carlin, obligatory pirate voices and homages to the greats: Abbott & Costello and Jim Henson.
- Wrote a coffee-table book of word-play called "'Precipice Writings' and other Relanyms" available on Amazon. An example of a relanym: you take a well-known phrase like "Empire State Building" and change each word to a word that's related a different sort of government to an empire would be an oligarchy. A similar term to a state: metropolis. A relanym for "Empire State Building" would be "Oligarchy Metropolis Edifice." Luke Skywalker becomes Warm Atmospherejogger. They're fun. You can do them too!! #relanyms.
- Created a voicematch video in which he did 46 Disney impressions in 4 1/2 minutes.
- Brother of Julee Antonellis, actor and comic.
