Scott Baldyga is a father, a brother and a son, a
published nonfiction author, a writer, director and producer of feature
film, a professional composer, arranger and musician. He has been: a
university literature and writing teacher, a casting associate and
director, a guy who turned down a full boat to Harvard for his
doctorate in order to join the peace corps, an overly dedicated IATSE
script supervisor, an award-winning songwriter, a long-form fiction
ghostwriter (novels), a magazine editor, has performed onstage or
in-studio with all of Bob Marley's sons, a book proposal writer, an
award-winning indie film editor, development assistant for directors
and producers of academy award-winning films, has assisted Paramount
VPs, has directed, musical directed and composed for professional
theater in the US and abroad, has been a musical director at La Mama -
his favorite church on Earth, has been a Roger Corman 2nd unit director
(which means he filled in for spontaneously combusting "1st unit
directors" there), a low budg stuntman (but don't tell the high desert
cops), a working actor who actually paid his bills that way in LA and
in the third world, and for several weeks he was the worst waiter in
Beverly Hills. He is very interested in giving you a quote for washing
your car or walking your dog.
